If I put in a bad capcha, I get a message saying the capcha is wrong. If I put in the right capcha, I get a message saying "check your information" or something like that. Looks like the problem is not the capcha, but something else.
I also got the same message when trying to get the unlock code from "before EMUI 5" page. I have a US version, BTV-W09. I wonder if the product id changed after the upgrade. My product id after the EMUI 5 upgrade is 50222745.

I read another thread saying Huawei replied on email inquiry that they don't provide unlock code for US version, not sure if that's related to the message from the website.

Would like to know if anyone having the US version got the unlock code successfully.

That was my comment in the other thread. I'm confused about what their policy is on providing unlock codes and how unlocking affects the warranty, but nobody else here seems interested in discussing it.

I'm pretty certain that the product code did change after the upgrade; but I didn't write it down till after, so I can't be 100% certain.

I have seemingly completely screwed up my new mediapad with I think a partial upgrade and a locked bootloader, and am running out of things to try.

I'm not sure what you mean by a "partial upgrade". As far as the bootlegger code, I suggest that you give up and just buy one from DC-Unlocker.com. That's safer than trying to downgrade just to get the code.

At this point i am ready to buy a code from dc-unlocker. Something in another thread lead me to think that they were going to want an imei number...

As far as my comment about the partial upgrade, these are my notes as towards what I have going on. I’m not a total noob, but guess I am just spoiled with how easy the nexus and one plus devices have been.

• Locked BTV-W09
• NRD90M test-key
• Last tried to install C128350 with Firmware Finder
• fastboot oem unlock doesn’t work (I have no code). The Huawei website doesn’t seem interesting in giving me a code (check values); I have no IEMI to enter, yet am on EMUI5.
• Can only power up from dead battery on ac (usb starts and then starts shutting down, once into Android)
• Can power down from Android, but it immediately tries to power itself back on, and it doesn’t seemt to work – hangs on “Powered by Android/Huawei MediaPad” screen.
• any fastboot commands, beyond devices or reboot fail.
• Can’t seem to boot into bootloader from/with adb or recovery screen
• Huawei Firmware Finder (Team MT) mostly works, but since it doesn’t either shutdown or start correctly, whatever I try doesn’t install.
• Three key combo sequence to install from sdcard doesn’t appear to work
• reset of tablet does not work – it goes to restart, which doesn’t work.
• HiSuite software, says everything is fine.

• Can get into recovery screen, says Phone locked FRC unlocked (oem unlock in developer options is enabled)
• can adb

I’m at a bit of loss for things to try. I think the test-key problem means I need to flash the hw data update that goes along with the release, but I don’t have anyway that I know of to do that.

Sorry, I don't know what you should do at this point. Hopefully, somebody will be able to advise. When you're in recovery, can you connect with adb? I think that's where you need to fix this.

On that screen, I can fastboot, but not adb (I believe). All the fastboot commands fail, as expected I believe, cause of one of the locks I presume. I was hoping I might be able to side boot a recovery through fastboot, but that fails as well in the same way.

I have a US wifi only version. I also upgraded to EMUI 5 and I'm not able to get a unlock code from Huawei now.
I did a lot of googling and I'm not able to find a way to downgrade to EMUI 4 for the US model W09C128.

My suggestion is to buy a code from dc-unlocker. I read an account of somebody who bricked his tablet by trying to downgrade. I gave up and bought a code and that worked well forr me.

I was trying with dc-unlocker, but I'm not able to put device in manufacturer mode because I don't have the calculator or the dialer app after updating the EMUI 5.

Are you sure? I updated to EMUI 5 and I had the calculator app. It's dark yellow or orange, I think. You have to turn it to landscape orientation to be able to put in the info you need.

Same happened to me! Did you find a solution?

Jeez it's a nice tablet but you have to jump through hoops to get it fully operational. I just need to unlock it for 5ghz wifi.
