no he is right. PC companion keeps asking me everytime to update, then I've tried once for nothing, same old stuff with no changes to my own apps & settings...btw I've latest nordic R1FB001 but this doesn't stop PC companion/update from poping-up whenever phone is connected, it looks like some sort of bug lately.

Today PC Companion popped up and told me to update my phone when i connected it to my pc. Before update i had the folowing:

Modell: x10i
Fw: 1.6
Radio: 1.0.21
Kernel: 2.6.29-rel SMEC #2
Build: R1FB001

After updating all my apps and settings was deleted but no change to any of the above version numbers. I have debranded my phone, maybe this causes the updater to fail?

firmware update can be done easily with flash / unbrick tool even if you dont have an update for your region
