Hey thanks a lott.. ive been catching up with quarx since he started dev cm7 till cm10..I would say this is one rom where it can be perfectly named a "custom rom" because I ve never used a rom " this stable" and "this perfect"...u are really awesome fuzz..thanks for ur biggest contribution to defy users.. I really missed your cm9 nightlies u released once upon a time..hope you would skank a cm10 soon...u are the man!

I feel our defy is becoming old.. epsylon is complelely out from defy and I dont see much updates from quarx too.I heard he s gonna abandon defy..

Why cant this be a future cm team
Blechdose for kernels
Maniac..who s workin wid quarx and epsy since a long time
Fuzz , who s really one potent person...
And quarx as well as epsy who would help us whenever we need

I tried Quarx CM 10 and then was not pleased by it. When I flashed my nand backup my old fuzz C.M 7.2 is not booting. It does not go beyond the logo :( What should I do? Is it because of the kernel change on flashing CM 10? Do I have to re-flash G.B kernel??

All latest cm10 builds use ext4 format. And we can't restore ROMs run with stock kernels which use ext3 format.
You should follow these steps to restore to cm7:
1. Goto bootmenu file tools and choose data/cache to ext3.
2.wait till it finishes, it comes back to boot menu automatically.
3. IMP: DONOT WIPE DATA/CACHE OR ANYTHING OF THAT SORT.
4. Just flash system and cm7 kernel, gapps. If you have nand, you can restore it instead flash.
5. Reboot and enter to recovery. Do wipe cache/ dalvik. REBOOT!!

you must always follow the above if coming from any of the cm10 to cm7. Otherwise we end up flashing full sbf.
For now, you just flash cm10 again so that you have its recovery to start with step1.

I always using BT head set but haven't had any issues you described. What do you mean "hangups"?
Tell me how to reproduce that and give me a logcat?

If others having similar or same isuues, lemme know.

Another bug which I found...the bug is common in cm7 till cm10 builds..
Microphone doesn't work properly when we switch to speaker or bluetooth headset (the one which I have is without microphone)
Button backlight doesn't work

Wi-Fi when switched on, doesn't automatically search for networks instead shows "obtaining ip address.." without searching

Phone gets heated up soo much with wifi switched on and in a phone call at the same time

Camera focus doesn't work properly as it doesn't get perfectly focused as a result we get low quality pics..it s found on all cm builds

Fuzz (or anybody else), has 720p recording been included in these builds by now? :)

*edit* Thanks, pjgowtham for the quick answer! Downloading the latest build now. I love skankies! Fastest ever.

Works, but the quality is not that good of the Walter's Ginger2 ROM...His 720p records in 8.2 Mbits/Sec at 24 frames, while this one is 47 frames at 3.1 Mbits/sec...Can it be made to record default at 8.2 Mbits??

build request

Could someone please post/upload the 03.12.12 Version? Would be much appreciated.
Reason: Rumors say, the RIL bug would be less frequent with that build.

Thank you.

So you meant "hangups" is audio lags?
I asked you tell me how to reproduce your issues because I couldn't reproduce it.
As for logcat,I'm sorry but it is of no use.I want to know the possible causes, not the fact that there are audio lags :)

To reproduce those audio issues, connect to a Wi-Fi network, use default music player with Bluetooth headset on...

Yes, that's the exactly same steps I have been trying to reproduce.
Ok, this case should be on hold until more people would report similar issues...

I only use maniacs build. all custom builds have that problem. you might have seen maniacs recent panic daemon fix. that repaires the crash when it happened, by rebooting.
thx will test.

FuZZ, since you're now often online, I have to ask you something... (may sound VERY silly, but it's the only thing that keeps me on JB instead of enjoying GB)

Is there any way to have higher resolution contact pictures on gigglebread? I mean, 96x96px is ridiculous :(
