Rooting
Before u Root ur phone u must know what rooting means n cause..... Google..... !

Download.... UnlockRoot soft to Root ur device.....

* Download soft
* Install the software
* Enable USB debugging
* Now run Software unlockroot Click button ROOT
* A popup will appear with list of available devices.. Select device.
* Device will be rooted.... a popup will ask you to reboot... reboot & enjoy

How to get recovery :
* Download recovery from above link
* Place it in SD card
* Download recovery manager ( Here)
* Install and Open recovery manager ( Allow Superuser permissions )
* Go to recovery tab and click Click on install recovery
* A popup will appear with recovery.img click install n wait
* Click on reboot into recovery to check custom recovery
* Now u can move on next step to install custom Rom

Bro im dev of microfire rom for mmx a60....... i dont hav a1 mbl.... but karbonn a1 n mmx a60 iz excactly same !!!!! I hav all karbonn a1 tools..... both hav zte firmware ....!!! Tnx for ur replay.... i'll msg u wen i need u.... msg me ur fb profile link......

NO they dont have exactly same because if they had then Jet rom or A60's rom would have worked perfectly with A1.

No Z4root wont work properly..

I tried it long ago I failed many times & found Software for windows..

Its by ANTUTU Unlock ROOT It supports nearly all devices

Procedure for rooting is simple
1**** enable USB debugging..
eject the cd rom (if comes after pluging A1 to pc)

2*** Now run Software unlockroot Click button ROOT.. A popup will come with list of available devices.. Select The device.

3*** Device will be rooted & a popup will come & ask you to reboot Select reboot & enjoy.

It's safe way and easy not the tuff way ..
It is thebest way I have ever tried on A1 & galaxy note .

I have found the issue, the play store link you posted in the op is different than the app you are referring to.
There is no recovery tab in that app.
I think this--------» http://www.modaco.com/topic/329772-app-recovery-manager-v036-beta/
should be the app instead of the app you have given in the op..
