This is a development thread for Karbonn A7+

FINALLY KARBONN A7+ IS ROOTED!!!

ROOT:
1)Download the "Karbonn_A7+_ROOT.rar" from this post or from HERE extract it to a folder anywhere to your computer or phone.
2)Now move the "Root.zip" file to the root of your SD card
3)Switch off your phone
4) Now press and hold the power and volume up button together and release them when you see the red screen.
5)Scroll using the volume keys and select the apply from SD card option by pressing the power button
6)now select the "Root.zip" file it will start installing the root
7)after the process is done select reboot system now and your phone will restart.
8)open android market and install busybox
9) Your A7+ is now rooted


UNROOT
Follow the same procedure from above but instead of using the "Root.zip" file use the "Unroot.zip" file.

This is a development thread for Karbonn A7+, The root and cwm from the Karbonn A7 does not work for this phone.
The chipset of this phone is Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 MSM7627a running at 1Ghz with 512mb of ram.

Ok so we've rooted the phone, now cwm is fully working now the next step is custom roms, my exams will be done by this week end and I'm gonna spend my one month holidays learning to port rooms. will bring out a custom rom in the next one month

First time rooter

I installed custom rom for a7 on a7+ and i am unable to connect to ATT in USA. The phone does not recognize the SIM.

Please can any one provide me the stock rom for A7+. I would greatly appreciate it.

I know I should have backed the stock rom but I did not. I apologize. I wish to install stock rom and then root it correctly per the directions provided in this post.

Your welcome .For backup see cwm link in first post, and rubber back cover AFAIK is not there for these phones, if u manage to find it let us know

sir i backed up my current ROM by CWM, now what would be the steps for updating A7+ to ics by ROM of A7 and also provide the link of bugfree ROM of A7. Have i need to update the baseband version also and can i take backup of my current stock baseband version.

Before changing the base and just restore ics from cwm and see if it works first, network won't work but check if everything else is working, and lol please I'm not a sir

Network won't work unless you upgrade the baseband, what I'm saying is before upgrading the baseband u should check if the rom is working fine

i restored ICS V2.1 ROM of A7 on A7+ through CWM,it restores successfully but when power on it stucks at Karbonn Smart logo and nothing happens. If u have any working ICS ROM link pls provide.
