keep screen on during call

I own an Omate TS NA version, running the ensec_2014_0427_V2.0 rom.
I cannot find a setting where I can keep the screen on during a phone call. I do not want to use the power button (minimize wear) and everything else forces me to go through a couple of steps before I can hang up...
Anyone knows of a way how to do that efficiently w/o using the power button?

Clarification: The issue I am having is that I cannot hang up easily once the screen is off: I have to go through several steps to hang up (do not see the red bar anymore...). So, one option is to keep the screen on and the red bar (to hang up) will not disappear....hence my question...
