How to flash this kernel on Cataclysm ROM?

1. Recovery
2. Flash ROM ( without wipe data/system)
3. Install from zip
4. Reboot

Or any other method?

I'm not sure this is even compatible with Cataclysm. This is AOSP based and that ROM isn't.

Its problem with ramdisk. Some kernels just modify ramdisk and this one change it completely. And ramdisk in this kernel doesn't support theme engine and cm profiles and there is problem. Hope I explained it and helped you a bit

Catalysm is aosp based, I'm running fine with faux kernel and 14-apr Catalysm

Cataclysm is factory image based, which is pretty much aosp, but it's not an aosp ROM

The fauxclock app shows as permissive in the device informal tab, and I certainly never changed it from enforcing?
I can't find any apps to change to enforcing since Google removed any apps that touched that part of the system.
I've tried reinstalling but nothing changes.

Not sure what to do now other than go back to stock kernel?
Appreciate help.

You can set it by terminal, switch to root by typing 'su' then type 'setenforce 1'.

This will NOT stick on reboot, though.

To make it stick, you'll need to make it a script and have it run on boot by sth like tasker or init.d if init.d is supported in your setup.

What caused this bizarre battery drain?

I love this kernel, it's just the best. I charge my phone every other day, even with 2-2.5 hours SOT - I get 5+hours SOT on a busy day. I don't know of many kernels that let you do that.
Something wacky was going on for a few hours early this morning, the phone was not on the charger last night and was noticeably warmer than usual when I picked it up this morning. I'm hoping someone can help.
There's nothing obvious in System Manager app (all processes less than 1%), but the only thing that looks like it corresponds to the crazy increase in battery drain is the cellular signal, which (see battery use pic from regular lollipop battery use tab) changed from a dark green color to a lighter green color. I have no idea what this color change means? Phone was in same room as always.
System Manager app shows these huge (colored in red) spikes in CPU use during this time (see pic) which clearly are what was causing the drain, but the phone did not reboot at any time (it's not undervolted etc).
Any ideas on what was going on here?

Theres a bug that doesn't let the settings stick.. everytime you skip to the next song, or just look at the your Nexus in a funny way, the settings go back to stock.. Faux said that he's aware and working on it.
