Nope. Never experienced that. Are you guys having complete loss of touch until you turn the screen off and back on and touch is restored?

No its just freezing screen for like 3 seconds and then the screen responds. Happens when scrolling or typing. I went back to stock after January update because that's when the issue started on kiri 1.5Are you guys having complete loss of touch until you turn the screen off and back on and touch is restored?
That sounds more like the Accessibility Services bug that some are having. Touch input freezes for 2-3 seconds and everything catches up. That's a Google issue and not because of the kernel. Google has finally addressed the issue and it will be released in a future patch. No its just freezing screen for like 3 seconds and then the screen responds. Happens when scrolling or typing. Yeap same here but its not kernel related for sure cause i am having the same when i was completely stock. It will fixed on Febs update as they announced.
This issue? Pixel 6/6 Pro randomly freezing all touch inputs for 1-2 seconds bug - temporary fix inside along with this update in that same thread regarding it (TL;DR Google solved it and will release it in a "future" update).I updated to Jan build on 6pro. I have used all the previous kernels for 6pr since October when the phone was released. However in this January build i have an issue where the screen freezes when scrolling or typing. Does anyone else have this issue?
Bro, I've got a 55 oled. Gaming on those things is nothing short of pure Bliss. I bought a 'TCL 55 quantum TV' thinking you could get somewhat close to the same quality. What a joke in comparison. Those perfect contrast and nice deep inky blacks, wonderful poppy color. Nothing can match an OLED tv - even Samsung Neo Qled.Lg65oled. It worked fine before but truly speaking it was on Dec software.
Anyone else having problems installing the kernel on Proton AOSP (new January built)?
Device says it's corrupt and doesnt boot.
Can't really comment on this as I'm not familiar with the internals of Proton AOSP. From my thread i know people used my kernel on it in the past and as far as I'm aware does Proton use the stock kernel.Anyone else having problems installing the kernel on Proton AOSP (new January built)?

I can confirm latest build works fine, but indeed I think you need to make sure vbmeta/verification are disabled when flashing/updating proton.Anyone else having problems installing the kernel on Proton AOSP (new January built)?

Thanks for sharing your work. My P6 Pro runs so smoothly on your kernelAdjusted the features detailed in the OP a bit and improved the instructions to clear up some steps regarding keeping root, the ak3 helper zip etc.
Next release is already under testing.
In my opinion, tweaking is unnecessary. Kernel runs great as is. I miss tinkering around tooAny tweak recommendations for the Pixel 6 Pro? I decided to root and do all this fun stuff again and see what the rooting world has to offer these days and I really missed tinkering around! I skimmed through all the posts and didn't really see much so if I missed it, sorry! But so far I'm just leaving it as is after installing the kernel and love it so far! Amazing as always OP!!
No i don't have any intentions to modify the charging driver at all, sorry. I leave my fingers from this.@Freak07 boss, any intention of adding battery idle mode supporting? As far as I know, there is no Pixel 6 Kernel which supports battery idle mode.
Besides the CleanSlate features there's not much to set. The magisk helper module does most of this by adjusting the powerhal so settings are changed dynamically depending on the type of input scenario.Any tweak recommendations for the Pixel 6 Pro? Works just fine for me.Forgive me if i miss it, does fpr on this kernel disabled during aod? It works fine once the screen is on. But not at all while on aod.
Update: turns out its the new magisk 24. Back to canary build now.

It's up to google to add this. I don't have the necessary means to do broad and thorough field testing. Battery is not easily swappable.

We have at least one user for who the fingerprint reader works fine on AOD with Magisk 24, and some other evidence that it shouldn't affect it. I haven't updated yet.Forgive me if i miss it, does fpr on this kernel disabled during aod? It works fine once the screen is on. But not at all while on aod.

I don't have a custom kernal, but with 240001 (canary 24) my fingerprint is read on AOD
Even though I'm on Canary 24.001, I don't because I don't use AOD. Would be interesting to know what version of Canary that person was on. I looked through the recent commits and don't see anything that stands out that would cause that, but I'm not an expert on these matters.
There were very little changes from Canary 23019 to Beta 24.0. Just some translation stuff, typo fixes and guide updates. Idk...
Have you ever managed to fix this issue without wiping the phone? It must have something to do with the corrupt files I have. Is the anyway to find out what's corrupted and fix it without having to completely wipe my phone? My phone works fine except for this message I get whenever I reboot and I can't seem to be able to use a custom kernel.
Is it normal to have battery drain upon first installation? I'm on 2.3 with April update and Magisk 24300. I'm noticing substantial battery drain with the screen off-- it's just sitting on my desk.
something is keeping the phone awake. maybe an app stuck in background, maybe a service silently crashing.Happened to me too but I don't believe it's related to the kernel. I believe in my case, it was lxposed related.
Thanks for sharing those. The kernel log (dmesg) you shared doesn´t show anything regarding screen recording, but I also didn´t expect it to.I am still experiencing this issue. Keep in mind it's only with screen record. I don't see any slowdown issues elsewhere but I would think that I shouldn't have an issue there. Here is a video of it.
This is not happening on my wife's P6 with stock ROM+kernel and no root.
I've even factory reset and checked for any bad apps that may be causing the issue but can't find any. I am running lsposed with face unlock but this issue occurred before that.
I could flash the kernel back to stock and check but I guess I don't really want to.
Does no one else see this from a screen record?

Hey,
Of course it is not lagging this morning when I attempt to replicate it. Not that I'm complaining. I will send you the lcat the next time it does(I assume today).something is keeping the phone awake. maybe an app stuck in background, maybe a service silently crashing.
better battery stats might be able to give you an idea (there´s a workaround to get it working "enough" on A12 in this forum or the thread of better battery stats app) or other apps that were previously mentioned here.
The kernel itself does not keep the phone awake or cause any drain. If an app/service requests a wakelock or resources and asks the kernel it´s usually granted otherwise wifi, bluetooth, mobile data etc would not work. Simplest example is no notifications if phone can´t wake up.
Sometimes a simple reboot fixes those things.
Thanks for sharing those. The kernel log (dmesg) you shared doesn´t show anything regarding screen recording, but I also didn´t expect it to.
I believe it´s a userspace issue, so sharing a logcat would be helpful if you encounter it again no matter if it´s caused by the kernel or not I can take a look at the logcat if you share it as I can´t reproduce the issue on my end.
But I have another question, is your fingerprint scanner working? Do you have it set up at all?
There are some very strange lines in your log and I believe the fingerprint hal can´t be started, but the phone is constantly trying to (sometimes several times a second). That in itself could potentially lead to a lot of issues as it constantly polls.
echo 1 > /sys/module/damon_reclaim/parameters/enabled
Managed to reproduce the issue. It´s a magisk issue that surfaces probably since 2.0.1 where direct USB access was added and was not kernel related. The app is Crédit Mutuel
And yes, you just gotta get to the actual log-in screen after accepting the conditions and cookies. At the log-in screen there will be a red warning that root has been detected.
Thanks!
