What's the idle drain? Have you checked whether its entering Deep Sleep?
P.S. Still on MIUI? Last received security patches almost a year ago, isn't it?

With stock kernel i was losing less than 1% overnight in airplane mode. With this 2 to 4 %.
The phone does go in deep sleep, and using Greenify do hybernate and enabled doze, same as with stock kernel.
Wakelocks also seem the same.
PS any advice for a quality custom rom?

I didn't have a good experience with experience Pie ROMs. Particularly RAM management was worse than Nougat. Battery life was a bit less as well. Aex Pie was however the smoothest ROM I had used in this device. Once the kinks are worked out it would be my 1st preference. Plus good deal of customisation.
Currently on AEX N 4.6 Unofficial by Magicxavi for over a month. Rock solid. Haven't encountered any bugs so far. RAM management, battery backup both are pretty good. Don't know how it holds up in gaming though. I don't play games on touchscreen! October build was out a few days ago. Can't recommend it enough.

I really want to install this kernel, but after done install it, when I play games like Free Fire, the game freezing, I've tried changing the kernel setting, restart the phone/game, but it just same.

Agni kernel did the same too. Now I'm using Shadow Kernel, it works fine. But hmmm...
