Did you notice i wrote I317M and not I317? There's a difference, some kernels don't support canadian version this is why i asked

Have you tried it? I also have the same model as you do and I want to give this kernel a try. From what I've read the i317 and i317m are pretty much identical besides the Modem.

I did but i noticed some battery draining after a while, i was using cleanrom ace btw so i don't know if that had something to do with it. Draining was from the android system according to the battery stats

Speed increase was significally noticeable though

This kernel is amazing. Thank you. I finally found a great all around kernel that works properly. TY

I agree, this kernel is working very well for me on my SCH-I605. I can't believe how low my temperatures are in comparison to other kernels I have been using. Unreal. So far perfect.

You have to give it a full battery cycle or 2 to test battery life.

What's a safe CPU temperature range?

Sent from my SGH-I317M using Tapatalk 4

According to what ive seen on mine normal operating cpu temp is in the range of 37 to 43 celcius. Ive seen it as high as 65 celsius after gaming for an hr.

My normal battery temp range is around 32 celcius.

I usually give the kernel 5 to 6 days to completely settle before I test anything.

Hi,

I've recently upgraded from a SGS3 to a GN2, and after testing a couple of kernels, this one is my favorite, so I think I'll stick to it. Thank you for the good work.

I have one issue though, with the GN2, I find that the sound from in-coming calls in too low (notably compared to my SGS3), so I was wondering if this kernel is including a tweak to increase the incoming call sound?
I tried to play with the Boeffla Sound app settings, but could not find a setting that would change the sound level during a phone call.

Any help on this issue would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I see on changelog of wananlite site that v 2.7 has "Auto-Root" disabled. On OP this is featured, I suppose referred to older versions.

I've found v 2.5 and downloaded it.
The big question is: can I root my new Note 2 (with stock XXDME6, Modem DMF1), simply flashing 2.5 tar through Odin?

I got the idea to build this kernel from Perka thread for GS3, thanks to him.

-This kernel works only for Samsung 4.1.X ROMs-

/!\ Flash it at your own Risk /!\

The main goal of this kernel is to keep it stable and close to stock. It contains a few CPU and Memory optimizations for better balanced performance/battery life (the same tweaks i have on all my Roms), it includes Stweaks, Boeffla Sound, and "init.d" support so you can tweak as you like.

    Features:
    pic.png
Built from Samsung Note2 sources Update2 + GS3 Update9/10 patch (Sudden death & Exynos bug fixes included)
    pic.png
Battery charging control Trough Stweaks App (AndreiLux implementation, Big thanks to him)
    pic.png
Stweaks App support (Used AndreiLux customization of GokhanMoral generic interface, Big thanks to them)
    pic.png
Auto install of Boeffla Sound and Stweaks Apps (Thanks to Simone201 and Gokhan)
    pic.png
Boeffla sound App support (Thanks to AndiP)
    pic.png
Reduce Battery monitor wakelocks (Thanks to AndreiLux)
    pic.png
Added IO schedulers: SIO & ZEN & ROW (Thanks to AndreiLux and Yank555-lu)
    pic.png
    Enabled Car Dock charging
    pic.png
Triangle away support (Thanks to IndiP and Delute)
    pic.png
    Compiled CIFS as module
    pic.png
Compiled NFS as modules (it depends on the compiled modules “sunrpc” and “lockd”)
    pic.png
    Compiled NTFS as module
    pic.png
    exFAT support
    pic.png
    Init.d support
    pic.png
    Dynamic FSync control
    pic.png
Added support for Crt-Tv Off Animation (thanks to Codeworkx and Perka)
    pic.png
Tegrak overclock App support (CPU/GPU optimizations - OC/UV)
    pic.png
Built with Stock ARM Toolchain 4.4.3
    pic.png
Zmoove and Lulzactiveq cpu governors (Thanks to the Authors)
    pic.png
Proportional Rate Reduction for TCP (Thanks to Nandita Dukkipati)
    pic.png
CPU voltage control for UV trough Stweaks (Thanks to AndreiLux)
    pic.png
    Auto Root (if Not Rooted)
    (SuperSU 1.30)
    pic.png
Disabled Wifi multicast (Thanks to Entropy)
    pic.png
Increased timeout for some bad Sdcards
    pic.png
    Disabled Android Logger
    pic.png
Switch Android Logger ON/Off trough Stweaks (No Reboot required, Thanks to AndiP for the Sysfs interface).
    pic.png
    Tweaked Pegasusq CPU Gov
    pic.png
    Enabled Swap
    pic.png
Fbearly suspend delay control trough Stweaks (default=100ms) (Thanks to AndreiLux).

    Download.

    Important note:

    • SGH-I317 users can use my N7105 version, Tested by Willl03 and Jrafael (Thanks for the tests).
    • "Fbearly suspend delay" won't remove Crt Off, it cancels the suspend delay to remove any glitch when Crt Off is disabled

    wanam great kernel...

pleas consider add screen calibration from AndreiLux...

    thanx for you efforts

I started working on a new update, but it won't include any screen hacks, as i said before i have no plans for this mod, this is one of the things which make Perseus unique :D , i don't want to make a kang kernel, i try to include only what i really need and avoid any patch which could break the stability of the kernel.
