OMG i didn't think of doing that sorry for this question but you're my lifesaver
Would this help solve the ROG 5 WIFI issue? after update to .86 firmware (i think it was .86) I cannot enable WIFI nor hotspot. I tried upgrading and downgrading the firmware via fastboot and in both cases the issue remains the same. If anyone has ever came across this issue and had it resolved with software methods, please let me know!Update to 1.2.0
Hey guys and girls,
I hope everyone is having a good day or starting into one. Here´s the next update.
The kernel is updated for the latest firmware:
18.0840.2109.176. Make sure to update to the latest firmware before flashing the kernel to have no compatibility issues.
Some device specific changes, which should fix a touchscreen issue was in the source code.
All other security related updates on the kernel side, were already included by merging CAF-Upstream previously.
Caf-Upstream was also merged, which includes several improvements from QCOM to different subsystems like the scheduler, gpu driver etc. Details on github as usual.
The link to the WW firmware can be found here:
More changes in the Changelog below:
Changelog:
- Import ASUS_I005_1-18.0840.2109.176 source code
- Linux-Stable Upstream to 5.4.150
- Merge CAF (QCOM) upstream up to tag LA.UM.9.14.r1-18300-LAHAINA.0
- Scheduler improvements from QCOM and Google
- Enable NAP power saving state for GPU
- updates from kernel common for several subsystems
- for details please check github
Important: If flashing the kernel via TWRP, flash the DLKM magisk module found in the download folder that matches the kernel version.

Will very likely bootloop.Anyone successfully running version 1.41 or older on firmware WW-18.0840.2201.229 (the last WW Android 11 firmware before 12)? If you do, which version and have you run into any problems? Thanks.

Give the kernel I uploaded a few posts above a try.
Bought myself a 5s pro not long ago - running the latest Android 12 firmware and flashed this kernel yesterday.... zero issues so far! Very happy about that since this is my favourite kernel and even ran it on my pixel 5 pro too.Update to 2.0.0
Hey guys and girls,
Alright so here´s the next update, which adds support for Android 12.
Works fine on 31.0810.1226.77 WW firmware on a standard ROG 5 for the past weeks.
5S, Pro, Ultimate are all untested. Feel free to flash and report if it boots for you. (to return back to stock flash back stock boot.img, dtbo.img and vendor_boot.img via fastboot, which can be obtained from the stock firmware via payload extractor)
After flashing the kernel.zip there will be a magisk module in magisk manager called AK3 Helper Module. Do not delete it.
The link to the latest WW firmware can be found following this link.

so far so good for me.
I was trying to give you a pass, but I can take it back if you didn't want it lol. Pretty sure I know which config you are talking about. I had wondered why it wasn't enabled, so that explains it.
The ROG Phone 5 is super finicky. It doesn't help that they released two (or three, depending where you're from) models and then immediately pushed out a second series with two more. All of them have slightly different hardware that Asus is trying to keep on a single code base.
has a bunch of tactile (effect) UI components that make it easy to pick out the lag.
