I flashed the newest EMEA July update (SQ3A.220705.001.B2) and it seems like the kernel is working fine! Don't know if Google made any changes kernel-wise, probably not.
No changes have been pushed, so I'm pretty sure by now there are none.I flashed the newest EMEA July update (SQ3A.220705.001.B2) and it seems like the kernel is working fine! Don't know if Google made any changes kernel-wise, probably not.
Either use factory image or full OTA zip to update. That's probably the easiest route. Both will just flash the updated stock firmware, so you're device will end up being on the new stock firmware. How could I safely flash the new 12.1.0 (SQ3A.220705.004, Jul 2022) firmware being on the latest Kirisakura Kernel? Never done an update before, just curious. Appreciate.
So, afais, all I need to do is flashing the latest stock factory image. If you update via either factory image or full OTA zip, you don´t need to restore original partitions.
Any chance to make the phone less fragile to hot summer days?
E.g. by throttling more/sooner at a certain temp limit?
15mins on the lake (30C Temperature) of browsing in the sun and it will shut off connectivvity due to temperatures.
Use CleanSlate battery saver during those conditions.Any chance to make the phone less fragile to hot summer days?

Probably not since @Freak07 was supporting the Stable Android version only, and not Android 13 Beta. Now that 13 is Final, I'd just wait.
I see. Thanks.Probably not since @Freak07 was supporting the Stable Android version only, and not Android 13 Beta. Now that 13 is Final, I'd just wait.
But perhaps someone who enjoys risk more than me these days will test the theory!![]()
if you want to know if it´s safe to flash the A13 stable factory image over A12 firmware with this kernel installed, yes it is since it replaces everything.Probably not since @Freak07 was supporting the Stable Android version only, and not Android 13 Beta. Now that 13 is Final, I'd just wait.

Thanks for clarifying.if you want to know if it´s safe to flash the A13 stable factory image over A12 firmware with this kernel installed, yes it is since it replaces everything.
if you want to know if the A12 kernel runs on A13, it won´t.
I believe it was stated a few pages back that once A13 is final the kernel would migrate over to A13 as well. Thanks for clarifying.
Are you planning an A13 version of your kernel?
Glad to here that. Thanks.I believe it was stated a few pages back that once A13 is final the kernel would migrate over to A13 as well.
It seems I forgot to reply to this. Thanks, I'll take a look and see what's what, though scripts aren't really my forte and there are a lot of them.
Do I even need the AOSP folder then? Do I even need to build using this method or are you doing it on a more simple, elegant way?
I'm used to just simply building the Image and dropping it into the device folder of a full AOSP build and then make bootimage

indeed
Features like which exactly? Did you read the first post and compared the kernel features?@Freak07 any chance you can include features from your 7 pro kernel?
Yes, cpu is only one source of heat.Yes, I understand. I have been using the CleanSlate battery saver to keep temps down myself. I was just curious where all the logic is for the thermal throttling that is based on the various sensors. I'd love to take a look at it myself. I'm not necessarily looking to just increase the limits. I want to understand it more.
As a side note, I find that a lot of heat is actually produced from the modem (even on LTE) as I'm often on the road and don't have WiFi. If you start transferring large files the phone quickly heats up.
Release for January firmware is attached to the release post for january, you can find those in the OP.Which file do I download? The multi_touch one or the magisk.zip? (Have Magisk and FKM)
13 (TQ1A.230105.002) (I'm sorry if I sound stupid)
Thanks a lot for taking the time and actually posting logs! Can someone take a look at the attached logs and see why my phone's been shutting off randomly? It started after installing the Feb update and 4.4.2. I don't necessarily think it's the kernel, but want to rule it out. Thanks!
