Don't i remember seeing you post on the pixel 7 forums?
Oops I got the forum's mixed up! My mistake!Don't i remember seeing you post on the pixel 7 forums?
In case you just mixed up the threads:
It's not a requirement for pixel 6 devices, it is a requirement for pixel 7 devices.
The only way to keep root is to flash the stock rom's patched boot.img (yes it works)I have did your tutorial seriously :
- I take boot.img of ROM
-I unpack using Android boot image editor ( cfig github ).
-I replace zimage from kirisakura zip
-I repack to boot.img.signed
-in fastboot I flash all img from kernel kirisakura + boot.img.signed
Reboot , its boot normally in kirisakura kernel without root
In magisk v25.2 I patch boot.img.signed
Fastboot
I flash magisk img generated
Reboot
Its boot but magisk still no working
For me now :
I prefer use kirisakura kernel without root as its work great to stock a13 kernel used in lineage actually. ( since I no use app root despite no module kirisakura then ).
I doubt that would happen...@Freak07 can you pleeeeease support Kali-nethunter in next kirisakura update?
That's sad, can't even use a USB wifi dongle on P6P.

"enabling" it on the QCOM based devices that are linked in the first two commits crashes those devices, as the panel firmware does not support it.Can you please enable the DisplayPort function USB-C DisplayPort video output DP Alt Mode ?

Thanks for the effort, but it´s not as as simple as enabling a few configs for generic drivers that don´t match the actual hardware.it seems kernel bult without USB Type-C Alternate Mode drivers
current config on last kernel 4,3
Code:CONFIG_TYPEC=y CONFIG_TYPEC_TCPM=y CONFIG_TYPEC_TCPCI=y # CONFIG_TYPEC_RT1711H is not set # CONFIG_TYPEC_TCPCI_MAXIM is not set # CONFIG_TYPEC_FUSB302 is not set CONFIG_TYPEC_UCSI=y # CONFIG_UCSI_CCG is not set # CONFIG_TYPEC_HD3SS3220 is not set # CONFIG_TYPEC_TPS6598X is not set # CONFIG_TYPEC_STUSB160X is not set # CONFIG_TYPEC_QCOM_PMIC is not set # # USB Type-C Multiplexer/DeMultiplexer Switch support # # CONFIG_TYPEC_MUX_PI3USB30532 is not set # end of USB Type-C Multiplexer/DeMultiplexer Switch support # # USB Type-C Alternate Mode drivers # # CONFIG_TYPEC_DP_ALTMODE is not set # end of USB Type-C Alternate Mode drivers
config on enabled kernel

as i see in here its need to add to enable support
arch/arm64/configs/stock_defconfig
maybe good will be look in samsung kernel sources

verity disable do need to wipe before disabling right if not mistaken, Im using this kernel with verity enable since day one. Dont quite have the time to wipe and setup everything. So can I continue to use this kernel like before?edit: while updating don´t forget to keep the verity/verfication flags disabled in case you plan to flash a custom kernel!
Important
Just a heads up for everyone:
If the firmware update that's going to drop most likely today contains the QPR (=quarterly platform release, so the changes currently tested in the QPR A13 Beta) amongst the pixel feature drop, don't flash the current release of the kernel until I update the kernel with the new sources!
Otherwise there might be issues or the device refuses to boot due to the new firmware requiring the necessary kernel changes as well!
I'll try to update as fast as possible, but depending on how much conflicts there are and how fast google pushes the new source, merging the new source it might take a bit.
edit: while updating don´t forget to keep the verity/verfication flags disabled in case you plan to flash a custom kernel!
I'm using a P6P and have never had to do this. I just flash with EXKM.Where exactly to we must disable verity/verification flag in the process?
exactly the same hereI'm using a P6P and have never had to do this. I just flash with EXKM.![]()
Negative, but I'm 99% on wifi. That 5G eats major battery life for me.
Yes, cpu is only one source of heat.Yes, I understand. I have been using the CleanSlate battery saver to keep temps down myself. I was just curious where all the logic is for the thermal throttling that is based on the various sensors. I'd love to take a look at it myself. I'm not necessarily looking to just increase the limits. I want to understand it more.
As a side note, I find that a lot of heat is actually produced from the modem (even on LTE) as I'm often on the road and don't have WiFi. If you start transferring large files the phone quickly heats up.
Release for January firmware is attached to the release post for january, you can find those in the OP.Which file do I download? The multi_touch one or the magisk.zip? (Have Magisk and FKM)
13 (TQ1A.230105.002) (I'm sorry if I sound stupid)
Thanks a lot for taking the time and actually posting logs! Can someone take a look at the attached logs and see why my phone's been shutting off randomly? It started after installing the Feb update and 4.4.2. I don't necessarily think it's the kernel, but want to rule it out. Thanks!
not reallydo you have any idea as to why my YouTube app may have also been deleted?
But as stated here, it’s not really kernel related so I guess we won’t be able to fix it anyway if its some firmware/framework related issue.Maybe a logcat would help but it would be a huge off-topic. The most appropriate place for this would be the revanced thread.
