Yes I did that. Is it important feature to have that? Should I do factory reset after reflashing kernel? If you flashed the kernel before you flash magisk is normal, reflash the kernel.

That I know the module help the kernel to work at the best settings, never need to factory reset after a kernel flash.Yes I did that. Is it important feature to have that? Should I do factory reset after reflashing kernel?
Okay. Thanks! That I know the module help the kernel to work at the best settings, never need to factory reset after a kernel flash.
Why would I recommend to disable it when it's automatically created during flashing the zip and it's written in several places in the first post to not delete it?Hey @Freak07. Thank you for your kernel! Can you please tell us what are the benefits of "AK3 magisk helper module". Do we really need it? Someone says above that he disabled that module because it causes highly battery draining. Would you recommend it? It's my first time that I use a custom kernel in my device. So any help would be needed! Thx!
Thank you so much to make it clear. Respect! Why would I recommend to disable it when it's automatically created during flashing the zip and it's written in several places in the first post to not delete it?
It makes non-pro devices work correctly as OnePlus uses ugly hacks, otherwise proximity sensor or others are broken.
It sets up some kernel settings so the changes included actually get applied correctly.
It adjusts the powerhal to actually make use of several changes included in the kernel.
Did you ever solve this?I want to report that using this kernel version 1.3.9 or 1.4.0 together with Oxygen OS 11.0.6.1.GM21BA would cause QUALCOMM CrashDump Mode on system boot with the following message:
Any solution @Freak07?
Thank you in advance!
It just solved itself with the newest update to OOS. Suddenly I can install and use with no problemI ended up testing the kernel (both latest stable and test) and both caused Qualcomm crashdumps
The same error message as @christantoan:
Did you ever solve this?
I have a GM1913 running latest OOS that I got from here, version GM21BA.
Kernel is stock. Magisk installed by patching boot.img extracted from the image from the above-mentioned link.
Any ideas on what to do?
Never had crashdump with this kernel and why you patch boot img when you can simply flash magisk apk with latest official twrp?I ended up testing the kernel (both latest stable and test) and both caused Qualcomm crashdumps

I was following official instructions.Never had crashdump with this kernel and why you patch boot img when you can simply flash magisk apk with latest official twrp?
What version are you running now?It just solved itself with the newest update to OOS. Suddenly I can install and use with no problem
Latest twrp was specifically created to flash magisk apk so why not use that, patching boot img is more long way and need a pc.I was following official instructions.
Clearly states that you should avoid the apk flashing method, I will give it a go however.
Edit: tested flashing the apk instead of patched boot.img, no difference
What version are you running now?
Edit: If possible, could you send a zip of it?
Yeah I understand that I did it the hard way, still doesn't change the fact that I get Qualcomm CrashDumpsLatest twrp was specifically created to flash magisk apk so why not use that, patching boot img is more long way and need a pc.
Probably there's something related to your system, I don't know if you made modifications or other things, like said I never had crashdump, don't is kernel related, I don't know how can you solve.Yeah I understand that I did it the hard way, still doesn't change the fact that I get Qualcomm CrashDumps
I'm running 11.0.7.1.GM21BA.What version are you running now?
Edit: If possible, could you send a zip of it?
Thanks for the input! Have spent a while unable to find that exact zip anywhere online. Will continue on my quest tomorrow.I'm running 11.0.7.1.GM21BA.
Sorry, I can't upload the zip file due to my upload speed is too low. However, the file name I use is "OnePlus7ProOxygen_21.E.43_OTA_0430_all_2204061205_56a38e3ea2a9" with the following SHA-1 hash "e39b425a3928ba6482f200f0b1a8b4e59166068f". Hope this helps.
Another thing that I remember I did differently was I now flashes the kernel (and Magisk) with TWRP while previously I used FKM. Note that I'm not saying FKM is the problem, it just because I haven't tried using FKM for this update.
I just checked and found that you can get it from Oxygen Updater (OnePlus 7 Pro (EU)). It has the same MD5 (83bfea86f76dc853f19327fec0e10ad8) as my file. Thanks for the input! Have spent a while unable to find that exact zip anywhere online. Will continue on my quest tomorrow.
One more thing, what version of TWRP are you running?
