Currently using your kernel, thanks for your work. On latest 20161024, clean flash and rooted with SuperSU.

Camera gives up after autofocus - on stock app and A Better Camera. Hopefully you'll be able to find the problem.
From 63 to 100% using a 5V/2A charger, still remains 100% even after reboot... nice
sio I/O scheduler is nice too.
Wishlist is to implement some other CPU governors

Regarding camera I know what the problem is and how to fix it, just it requires building with the MTK build chain - very easy fix but then for compiling just the kernel on its own without the MTK build chain the camera breaks.

Trying to find a way to compile just the kernel and have camera working

Does this kernel fix somehow the battery drain from phone idle process? It's so annoying that without even touching the phone, the battery goes out so fast.

Personally my record for this phone is 13 days battery life, but then I use it soley as a development device, not as a daily driver. With a daily driver you should easily be able to get 1-2 days usage out of it.

Thank you for the kernel. It offers a most remarkable improvement of battery life. However, while I can live with the lack of double-tap wake-up, without the camera this kernel is, unfortunately, completely useless :crying:

So I am assuming you tried the kernel and the camera ia definitely not working . There might be some 3rd party camera apps working . Have you tried any ? The Kernel author stated he knows how to solve the problem . If all of us asked nicely ........ I downloaded but havent flashed . Was waiting for someone to post some good news about the cam

Yes, I tried the kernel with stock cameras of:

• "ulefone Metal_Android 6.0_20161024.rar"
• "CM13_Metal_BetaTest_1.zip"

Unlock the bootloader, install TWRP and then you can easily test out new kernels. It takes only a few minutes to backup/restore/install.

This kernel indeed has standby battery life of above 10 days and I hope the OP can fix the other issues.

• "CM13_Metal_BetaTest_1.zip"

Unlock the bootloader, install TWRP and then you can easily test out new kernels. It takes only a few minutes to backup/restore/install.

I have twrp + sytemless root +magisk+ exposed/busybox and gravity ........... I havent flashed the cm13 because I need the phone for daily use . I will flash the kernel today to try it out . At the moment I have invested 30+ hours just trying to find a tweak to get rid of my roaming r ...... I have tried all of them plus all the roaming modules in exposed etc etc . If I have time I will try cm13 and the kernel this weekend for fun . Thanks . Great to see there are metal owners out thereflashing stuff .......:good:

Camera is fixed by building in the MTK build chain. Very weird, I will change the build from beta to stable and release in the next couple of days. Continuing to research why camera breaks when out of the MTK build chain
