SOLVED WiFi authentication error

SOLVED
Using frandom-fixed CrossBreeder on r1 causes WiFi-authentication error and app fc's!
Using CrossBreeder on r1 will break frandom/random resulting in low entropy generation. Most people wont recognize.

Hello KyleOC2-r1 users,

there are now round about 150 downloads and a few people using the PMP™ Ultra ROM v8.5 with the KyleOC2 built in. Unfortunately the feedback is very low which in my eyes could be of 3 possible things. First you are having no problems running the KyleOC2 on your device. Thats fine. Second you have used the KyleOC2 but switched to another kernel due to having problems but did not report them here. I need to know things like this. Third you are having problems but dont see a relation to the kernel. Feel free to report and ask here. The most stupid question is the one that never got asked.

So now there is one major problem I dont know of what the cause is.
Randomly the random and urandom device are getting killed for unknown reason wich reflects in a WiFi authentication error and several apps force close.
If you are experiencing this error I need to know the following things (people having no error should report too):

• wich ROM stock/custom and optional baseband
• Mods (init.d scripts) being used like CrossBreeder or Supercharger etc
• if known when the error first occurred
• possible situation when the error occurres
• provide a logcat
• same problem on another kernel?

Temporarely I recommend using the KyleOC2-r1 on stock ROM only! No guaranty for Mods!

Since I use 8.5 i didn't see such a problem until now... Instead the google-play services stop constantly, but that had no appreciable effect at the time.
I use baseband S7562XXBMJ1, no Mods / scripts except these in PMP ...
The errors came suddenly, no special situation. A reboot solved the Problem for a time ...

This is totally opposite from other users' issues. (Including me)

I have no WiFi authentication error...I have flashed various kernels including ba2x ba2x 2.1 , Cheatman oc 1, sadmans kernel, klinkone 1115, 1228, 1335 and now using klinkone prime....i have no issues on pmp ultra 8.1 but faced fc settings stopped and system ui stopped error after flashing pmp ultra 8.5, it was smooth until I changed my desktop wallpaper and owner picture..I thought I was gallery related so reverted back to pmp 8.1...other Rom I flashed and used r hyperx by Charles, beautiful by akash, and cheatman kylopen 3.4 apart from ultra8.5 by mohitash...I hope this is helpful...
Only problem I faced was frequent reboots at 1335 on klinkone kernel but surprisingly prime I got no reboots in last 24 hours

Guys guys guys...

Read here-
You have two galleries in v8.5 right?
The first one is aosp ics gallery....its just for view images and all as its really fast and smooth.
Second one is stock gallery....its for setting wallpapers.

So what my guess is who are getting issues after setting wallpaper in owner pic or other homescreen wallpapers. They are using 1st gallery (AOSP) to set wallpapere etc...... Am i right here?

For setting wallpapers and owner pic, use stock gallery only thats the second one.


Next time i will rename stock gallery as "Set Wallpaper"

Also posted in pmp ultra rom thread. If you are going to reply for this then reply in my rom thread to save this thread from spamming...

Bro what i guess for apps force closing and wifi authenticating issues-
Your kernel + Crossbreeder (fixed one as you posted in my rom thread) both together are making these issue like apps force closing and wifi authenticating...
Means using your kernel without crossbreeder in rom is stable.

This i am saying after some test.


And systemui error or other errors that users getting after setting owner pic or wallpapers......this issue is related to gallery- Already posted in rom thread

Yeah thanks PRIME running for me also rock stable. I've done various CPU GPU stress tests benchmarks games and almost everything possible for the last 48h. No reboots no errors. Battery drain is in line with the higher frequencies.

I hope someone else using the PRIME gives some feedback. On first sight the adaptive voltage scaling seems to be working but I'm not sure.

i am using lowest 1113 mhz battery reason, actually i dont want that Frandom module added // initialized on boot feature,may be that is cause reboots in pmp ultra for me.in stock it is stable no problems. now i will try both lowest frequency and prime in cosmic rom,may be u will realease in future, kernel without Frandom module added // initialized on boot feature.just a request .thanks

Using frandom is an advantage! Btw the BA2X 2.0 makes use of it too. Thats where i got it from. Never heard anyone complaining there. Maybe i will make it initialised by a init.d script in future so you can choose. I'll think about.

Yeah thank you. Actually the module is working without problems. There seem to be some interference with (fixed)crossbreeder. I will wait for the last user reports in pmp thread on wich fix works and then decide what to do.

Ya bro...the final report is- your kernel and fixed CrossBreeder together creating issues. (as per tests by me, reports on my fb page, rom thread and also in PMs)

So i will use original CrossBreeder and also i am recommending for clean installation of next coming fixed version of PMP™ Ultra ROM

But i am still confused for kernel . So for now i decided to give previous kernel only with 1.1 GHz till you release a version without Frandom module :good:

But actually your kernel is great
