333 or 300 MHz gpu? Ive build the first r2 packages with 333 MHz gpu by mistake. 300 MHz clocked gpu version is available now. I will do some research to make it less battery consuming but this takes some time. Id like to know wich governor and scheduler you are using. Also if you are running stock or custom rom.
Thanks

Something is that is not battery friendly in kyle kernel I always feel that..while I used r1 in stock and cosmic Rom, I used browsing net and songs on for 40 to 45 min the battery decreased from 95 to 75.governer is smartass v2 scheduler sio...while using r2 it is 70% in cosmic Rom. And now using ba2x r2 it is 81 % battery same governor.....both r1 and r2 which I used are lowest frequency.thanks for reply

@KlinkOnE

OC2 kernel is having high battery drain even more than OC1

Tested your r2 also....its good but battery backup is same.

OC2 is based on OC1 only i think.

Yes based on the kyleopen-kernel source which is an overclocked 3.0.8 stock kernel basically. In OC1 battery is directly related to higher cpu frequency only because there are no more modifications at all.

Thanks for the kernel! it is fast, even faster than ba2x. I'm using 1229mhz for max and min on no-frills cpu controll. Stock rom s7560, works great.

GPU Frequency

Hi! I used KyleOC2-r2_1305MHz at my GT-S7562 with rom PMP Ultra v8.5.1 and for managment app i user Performance Control. Today i flash the KyleOC2-r2_1305MHz-GPU333MHz and in Performance Control i dont have option to change the gpus frequency! I flash the KyleOC2-r2_1305MHz-GPU300MHz and again nothing. I install another managment app but i have the same problem i cant change the gpu frequency. What app i must have? Can you suggest one? Thank you!

Unfortunately that's the way it is atm. So answer is no there is no app as the kernel doesn't feature GPU clock changes from userspace. Maybe in future...for now you got to choose and flash the package you want.

Found a couple of things. Volume control for In-Call works, but starting value is too high. If I press Volume Up, it becomes too loud, I can hold it on my ear. Could you try to change starting vaule, for the minimum of Volume control for In-Call thing.

Another one. Somehow exFat does not work anymore, put my SD card formatted into that and notning. When I change it to Fat32 it works. Could you check it out. :)

I am sorry for answering late. I am busy in real life plus we're having great weather around here in Germany! I'll take a look tomorrow but honestly I am not having problems like this so idk where to start with. Maybe you think about when and in/after what situation these issues first occurred and tell me.

Thanks

Let me simplify answer as much as possible. When I come back to KyleOpen Oc1 kernel, everything is fine, In-Call Volume works properly and I can use ExFat formatted SD card. Changing to your kernel r1, the problems start, both of them.

If something should be changed on my side, I would be so grateful to hear about, tried couple of things, without results.

I am back with ubuntu 14.04 on a dedicated partition. I tried to upgrade my wubi 12.04 but had to learn the hard way this wont work. Everything was lost of course :p. So I decided to create a dedicated partition on my hdd besides win7 for a fresh ubuntu installation. After installing ubuntu 14.04 the windows bootloader was deleted/corrupted but the partition still good. Bootloader fixed (bootrec /fixboot ;)). I am busy atm so configuring and starting over with kernel build will take approx 2 weeks i think.

You can also use the free VMware Player and install Ubutu within the virtual machine, this prevents the computer must be restarted when switching between Windows and Linux ...

Hm... depends on your flavor its your choice. Just try it but remember to have a backup just in case.
I use the R2_1228MHz-300MHzGPU without any problems.
Thanks! My phone doesn't even boot with the r2_1305 one.

Edit: Scratch that, I just got a couple of random reboots with r2_1228. Any help?
