Everything about kernel, for example removing r/w protection; testing etc should be done here because rom threads are for that particular rom and should not be utilized for kernel discussion.

You haven't set permissions after replacing? Set it same as other files in system/lib/modules... Root explorer can do that.
Other than that, it must work. I also use luxv4.
If that fails, you can use my compiled version (but I highly doubt that's the issue), I've removed system write protection:
