Yes, it's all right, not placebo.
Boot CPU DVFS temp was increased from 65 to 75°C with the hope to need less time for compiling odex files. 30 min is still long somehow. I could try to increase temp even more, but the heat it's not good for the battery. (Over that long time)
And honestly I've added that hotplug feature with the hope to reduce battery usage while streaming music with the speaker with screen off, but even with hotplugged big CPU battery usage is still high. So i've to assume that the battery draining comes from the audio AMP itself, since it has a very powerful speaker.

my phone ran out of battery after 13hrs 45mins

it was a pretty good day testing out the latest kernel + the phone with the real usage scenario :
i used bt audio omw to work, google maps for 1hr-ish, lots of whatsapp audio & video calls, 15 minutes mario karting, 1/2 hour-ish reading manga.. and it's on LTE throughout the day..

not the best battery stats but i tried using the phone without worrying about the battery level

Yes work so well my battery usage is like 4 hour without UV or something else tune maybe this day i will try UV maybe can get 5 or 6H sot

at the end of the day my SOT was 4hrs 22mins, then i hit the bed at battery level 15%.. this morning i woke up and see that my phone is at 9%

i think i need to review what processes is draining on sleep

Yeah that's too much. Normal is max 2% over night in airplane mode. (Like it's in my case)

i know, i don't use the device that much today, but i usually have 50%-ish near my lunchbreaks however i use it..

i never thought i could get 50% LEFT at the end my 9 to 6

now, the R55 is officially my favorite build

SOT 1:20h from 100% to 54% battery?
That's not optimal IMHO. You should get much more SOT. But maybe normal for an old battery.
Check those 2 things:
1. Deep sleep works? Maybe bluetooth prevents deep sleep.
2. How much brightness do you use?
For good battery life I suggest not higher than 25% if possible of course.

Latest release still good and stable?
At least for me it's rock stable, no app FC or random reboots.

yea, i didnt use my phone that much that day..
deep sleep works i think but something is draining and i'm not sure which, maybe it's whatsapp telegram and discord running in background. and yes, bluetooth and wifi is always on, and 4g is on most of the time.

brightness is between 20-50%

R55 is rock stable on my end too, but i've been having some issues with NFC, everytime i try to check my cards balances it stalls whatever app that i'm using, not sure what caused it and and haven't looked into it so i haven't report it yet

i tried switching profiles, rebooting and opening the kernel control app but it still won't work..

i remember last time it was usable before the R54, but i'm not too sure if it's kernel fault.. but i'm sure it wasn't issue with the card too, as it's working fine on my wife's phone

the latest version is waaayyyy muuucchhh better than any previous releases.. why would you need that specific build? every version changes always carries over the features from previous releases unless stated otherwise

Theres no otherway to pass safetynet than with magisk, also somewhat every custom kernel you can use you have to pass safetynet with magisk.

Can you provide this version pls.

It's still implemented in kernel, only removed from the app, because it caused some weird side effects.

If you want to test it, you need root (magisk).

If it works, you can set it permanent over init.d script:

Just write the same cmd without "su" in /system/etc/init.d.a2n/a2n_user.sh

Or if you don't have full version just use "init.d" and write the cmd without "su" to "99_user.sh".

Use any root browser app text editor for this.
