Bad news this kernel doesn't work with the newly updated Mahdi. ROM. When I flash it even with wonk cache and dalvik , it won't boot.

The kernel must be updated because of the new vendor blobs.Bad news this kernel doesn't work with the newly updated Mahdi. ROM. When I flash it even with wonk cache and dalvik , it won't boot.

If you are still having trouble with boot (lg logo appears then it goes black after and no adb or anything) this thread helped me with getting into recovery without adb. I originally couldn't find anywhere that mentioned a way to get into recovery without either ADB or via 'reboot recovery' command in terminal emulator/reboot via extended reboot menu but this method on the link below works!Ok glad it's nothing I did wrong. Hopefully when the kernel gets updated gamma control can be added.

Just fyi. Every time you flash a ROM it installs its own kernel, so you need to flash your kernel again. When you flash a ROM, it automatically wipes cache and dalvik so you don't have to. When you flash a kernel you shouldn't wipe anything either. I don't think that is your issue but there have been cases where wiping cache and dalvik had caused issues when flashing kernels.Had your rom installed clean. Flashed your rom update today. Rebooted it worked fine but saw in settings it over wrote the kernel. Reflashed the kernel and cleared caches. Would goto the lg screen then screen would go black. And not boot further.
Spent a lot of time seeing up my device. Why would I need to clean install I am coming from same rom

Wiped cache only after I couldn't reboot. Figured maybe that was whyJust fyi. Every time you flash a ROM it installs its own kernel, so you need to flash your kernel again. This is just FYI that should save you time over timeThere a lot of people out there that will tell you to do a lot more wipes than it is ever necessary.

My understanding is it won't at the moment. So far though I don't see any real difference in battery lifeSo if I am on the latest build of Mahdi and want to flash this kernel, will it work or will I need to do a clean install?
The last paragraph in the post above yours. And all over the last 2 pages. It does work with the latest Mahdi.last night after installing the rom mahdi I tried to install the kernel, but with poor results as well as, the tablet does not start

You can pop into your build prop and alter the lcd density from 230(I think) back to the normal 320, and every thing will look as you are used toSlim is not bad but the font is too small.. In your opinion this kernel work good?

I already explained the high frequency bug and it has nothing to do with the sot in high load situations. Please explain your performance issues, otherwise your criticism is not helpful.I like it, but I'm easy to please. I wish have more kernel development in here.
Battery life is irrelevant to me especially standby. My tab doesn't leave the house. But performance is still laggy and the tab stays in max freqs too much -> horrible sot when playing games.

Dude, by no means I am criticising your effort. On AOSP and on stock kernel drag racing (pretty much the only somewhat intensive app I run) you get stutter at the beginning of each race. The thing is the CPU is stuck at max freq and if anything it is GPU biased app. I have less stutter running the game on a single core LG e739. I believe the stutter is also present in stock. The game runs flawlessly on my old N4 and the CPU stays at min freq. 486mhz. Give the scenario, when I play it on the tablet, I get less than 3h of sot. That is less than what I get with my N5.I already explained the high frequency bug and it has nothing to do with the sot in high load situations. My exams are coming in a few weeks, so I haven't much time to get my next kernel build ready.
