so i installed the second release of your kernel.
Works great so far. ( can't judge battery life thought)

but no luck with games. On cm11 stock kernel : no touch screen
on GPE-ish2 kernel : black screen :)

don't know if problems with games on AOSP GPAD are related to kernel or ROM ?

omg i found the trick !!

turn on force gpu rendering in dev option and games are running !! (cm 11)

not good performance but i will try to tweak settings to mak games smoother ( it's playable but i am difficult)

I think this might be an issue with the mahdi rom.
I'm running cm11 and knock on has worked with both kernels.
Oddly what hasn't been working for me is knock off.
I do use gravity box so that may well be causing my bug, but I appreciate the extras that I use with gravity box.
I don't use a book cover case but I do have one so I'll dig it out and see if I can get the on /off to work. :)

Knock off don’t work in cm11

Is not a kernel issue ;)
Yes I was pretty confident that it wasn't a kernel issue :)
V3 flashed and running thanks
I've used my quota of thank you's up for today so I'll have to hit you up tomorrow ;)
*edit, man this xda hd app is flakey. Thanks work again but now I can't upload pics. *

edit 2 ** on/off with cover works with cm and V3 kernel, though it's going on at the lock screen. I'm going to see if there's a setting I can change to make it work.
I'll update later.

Edit 3 *** I've rolled back to V2 for now as I'm seeing strange behaviour in SwiftKey when opening it to write in Xda Hd app (I've only managed to find this behaviour in the Xda app)
When SwiftKey opens you see only the top line, the rest is black but after a few secs the black starts wavering and then you get the full keyboard.

Edit 4**** I've now rolled back to V1 as I was noticing lag in SwiftKey as I typed edit 3. As I type this message all lag has gone and there are no graphical glitches as in V3.
Does this behaviour tally at all with any of the changes you have made in V2 and 3 Demetris ?

Graphic glitches will go away once I switch to gpe binary blobs. Right now I cant do this because I want the kernel to be easily tested by more people. If I mess up with blobs and ramdisk then I have to build a special ROM for test and kernel would be incompatible with anything else. After kernel is finished we can use Galaxy S4 (I9505) /HTC ONE/V510 blobs and we need to revert some cm11 commits on ramdisk too

So the moment some of you was waiting for is here.
Attached kernel has essential gpe code in it from 11c source drop.
If some of you end up without touch working then you know you have the synaptic touch controller and your Gpad cannot be turned into a gpe :). Have ready Rel3 to fall back to ;)

Thank you very much for this ROM demetris!

Haven't tried it yet because I have a question: everytime I update to the newest nightly it goes back to stock kernel?
I always have the latest nightly (I live on the edge!) and it would be a pain in the *** to flash it again everytime

Then stay with default kernel and don’t look back.
You talk about a pain in the *** to boot to recovery and flash a kernel package that in most cases will take you < a minute.
Do you realize that many hours have been devoted by me so far developing this?
Seeing your post makes me wonder.I"ll sit down and count them some day...
And if you really are a man that likes to live on the edge you should be on this thread every day pressing F5!!!
By flashing nightlies you are just playing safe
Just my 2 cents, have a nice life.

I really appreciate your time and effort and I'm really sorry if i hurt you, that's not what I meant. I meant that flashing the kernel everyday again and again after the update would not be comfortable for me so maybe I should consider to stop updating or switching to a M Snapshot for this kernel.
I explained myself wrong, I'm sorry, I do that sometimes
