Firstly I have to apologise to Demetris for letting him down , but it seems me and him have had a communication breakdown in this thread.
I like a dumb f**k have been updating the wifi fix into the second file he linked NOT the CM11 v5100 test file .
I had been mulling over since failing to get wifi working and whilst I'm no dev I'm quite good at troubleshooting .
I had formulated different things to try , and all the time I've been coming back and rereading the last few pages to double / triple /quadruple check (you get the idea)the instructions .
It dawned on me 30 mins ago I had fooked up .
I redid following the intent of Demetris rather than my misunderstanding and WE HAVE WORKING WIFI !!!! :highfive:
so once again sorry Demetris , but you have got working wifi .
I'm going to go set up my rom

An you reflash the rom[cm-11-Google-PlayEdition-v500.zip] and you have a working wifi?

These are all the things I've seen /tried since booting into rom
we still have graphical issues , for instance the previously , funny screen after bootin up .
all icons are the wrong colours , ie blue icons are now gold .
the rom is all different colours.
if you disable the aosp keyboard (to use swiftkey) you get error messages . A reboot fixes that but you lose the use of the back button .
Open swiftkey and you have major graphic glitches and swift key is unusable .
Reinstating aosp keyboard fixes all of the above keyboard graphic issues .
xda hd app is just graphic flitches .
xda paid app works fine .
I tried flashing your kernelv4 to see what happens .
Obviously I lost wifi but all graphical issues were fixed , all apps back to normal colour .
so I've reflashed the test rom and await your command

before you flash though make sure you read the issues we have for now .
About the gpe issues you report am optimistic they will be gone with gpe blobs already included in gpe rom.
Scroll back up and check .

So just to clarify, does this mean this will be a ROM for the standard LG tablet that when Flast will effectively turn it into a Google Play edition? Or is this a ROM for the Google Play edition only?

Its the GPE-rom tweaked to work with v500, so yes if it boots will turn V500 into a v510.
Demetris, i'm curious. The rom won't change the inital LG logo and loki, right?
