Nasty feeling isn't it? Way out is hard power off (power + volume up till three vibrations), then flash kernel only, without wipes using flashtool ;)

Yeah, it sucked - but I kept my calm. But I was close to panic at one point :D

I did just that and luckily no data was lost.

Actually Philz IS cwm 6.0.5.1. Just with more features. Don't think I'll bother with the old deprecated version of cwm. Doesn't backup and restore properly on LP anyway.

I'm not a dev so I have no clue how you do this magic - but I can't help but wonder why is it harder to make a kernel with recovery for locked bootloader than it is to make it for unlocked bootloader?

It seems that it is causing some headache for the devs here with the bootloop and all. I'm not pushing anyone for a solution but not being into programming and developing at all I don't get what the big difference is.

Would you care to explain just in broad terms?

Somewhere in Oz...
Basically, with LB you can't modify the kernel at all, otherwise it won't boot, as it breaks Sony's signature verification. But with UB, there are no such restrictions, so you can do whatever you like to the ramdisk, etc.
Also LP has selinux enforcing, which makes it harder for LB Dev's to use their system hacks.
