.....So here is also a taste of what is to come tomorrow once v12 is officially released by @thehacker911 here on XDA.....this time with screenshots of the governors and setup used and with the time/clock sequence on each photo.....

Please note: These screenshots were taken using v12 and at this time it was not even the final release.
Anyone can easily verify the authenticity of the pictures by simply looking at the battery % (decreasing between picture #1 and picture #2) and also looking at the clock minutes (increasing as each picture is here presented).
I stopped this test at 50% remaining battery because I had to connect my phone to my laptop. Connecting the phone to an energy source obviously cancels the ongoing BetterBatteryStats application stats/logs so for this reason I stopped at 50% remaining battery.
It was not a highly intensive usage (not straight usage but prolonged over around 36 hours) but I had the Wifi on most of the time, I was in the Internet in total around 2 hours including usage of some social "draining" apps, I played the game "The Room" for about one hour, and I made the odd phone call.
This makes it a total SOT of just over 3.5 hours (see picture #2 Screen On time) but I only used 50% of the battery! We could then conclude that at this rate of usage I could have had an SOT in the total of approximately 7 hours.

If you would like some further information on my other methods of usage on how I also make my battery last so much longer please see my post #1051 on this same thread.

Stats explained:

Picture #1 (taken at 11:35am) - Time On battery since last 100% charge: 1day (d) and 4hours (h) with battery now at 69%.....Wakelocks during this period: 37 minutes (m) or 2%.....SOT during this period: 2h and 32m or 9%.....Wifi On during this period: 18h and 13m or 64%.

Picture #2 (taken at 19:19pm) - Time On battery since last 100% charge: 1day (d) 12hours (h) and 25minutes (m) with battery now at 50%.....Wakelocks during this period: 1h and 18m or 4%.....SOT during this period: 3h and 33m or 10%.....Wifi On during this period: 23h and 8m or 64%.

Well I do not want to take much more of this thread's space but the next pictures speak for themselves. They are just my simple profile used and previously shared by me on this post of mine a few days ago.
Nearly forgot to add that with this simple setup I experienced no lag or freezing and if so on an extremely rare occasion over this whole period.

Again please note that I am not stating that you will achieve the same results! There are too many variants for certainties such as the amount of apps and which apps you have installed, are you syncing or not syncing 24 hours a day, Wifi/Data on or off while you sleep, the amount of brightness you use with screen on, if you use or not other apps to help your wakelocks/services, if you debloated your ROM or not, and the list goes on and on and on and on and on..........see the link above like I have suggested so you can see how I use/setup my phone, etc.

This is simply my experience with Hacker kernel v12 but if I somehow helped you it makes me also happy.

Thanks
Sry for your happy sharing but, i wanna point out few point to clear some confusing and better idea to everyone.

maybe u have state clearly above but this kind of measurement cant be accept to be mobile devices and everyone will have false sign of it, 1st, u dont even connect data by using neither 3G nor 4G, the different here is rathery BIG, some how on my side, the different in standby should be as
1: a totolly no connection situation (no data/wifi)
atandby should be hold for 0% in 8H
2: only wifi connected, i have drain 2% in 8H standby(standby mean leaving the phone in off screen condition) while i have 4google account in sync.
3: mobile data connected, i have 3-4% drain in 8H standby. same 4 google account in sync.

while base on ur record, mostly only wifi with no mobile data connected. and in between, there is 12H for totally off connection.

i assume its not act like a smartphone as it should isnt it? and mostly 99% of mobile user are using internet connection, which what different is by using wifi or mobile data.

if u do want to provide battery reading, please try act like its using normally(sure i know there is much more different way in everyone usage) but ur record are too far away from normal user.

specially if there is no sim card insert/no sync enable, the story is would be much more different in the end.

(PS: im just want to point out u should showing record by much more normal smart phone user way thn keep it act like wifi only devices)
no flaming no blaming.

I'd say what @droidbits points out is rather fine and reading his linked reference post of how he uses his phone the stats are very well explained. Why should he use his phone in any other way, if he doesn't want. Maybe he'll provide a stat when he's on the go for a day just as a comparison.

Thanks for reinforcing my point and for your support.
Users have different ways of using their phones, and just like me, you also stated this. I said in my previous post that this is my personal experience on my usage at the moment and this is the reason why I linked previous posts regarding how I use my phone at the moment.

I don't leave my phone only on standby of course.
In my stats I had an SOT of 3.5 hours with still 50% of battery remaining.
How I use this SOT, whether on Wifi, on Data, making calls or making smoke signs in the mountains, it is not relevant.

My major point and reason for my post above was the SOT of 3.5 hours and had I used the other 50% battery it would probably reach 6 or 7 hours and this is because of the excellent kernel and not because of the way I use my phone!

I am personally using at the moment a little portable TP-Link router about the length of a credit card where I put a SIM card with unlimited Internet and I can use Wifi both at home and out and about inside my pocket.
I do agree that the majority of people do not use this.

Therefore, on my next sharing/report/posting here, I will make sure that I will provide stats using the same profile explained in my previous post (Darkness governors, etc) but using perhaps 85% of Data (3G/4G) out and about and 15% of Wifi at home just to make the comparison.

@HTCNerdYoda thank you again for your support.

My device is not rooted and today I tried to upgrade to marshmallow (ota) but it failed to do so after 80% it aborted the installation and now I'm stuck with a dump phone please help I'm not familiar with this kind of situation. I tried to wipe cache partition and wipe data/factory reset but nothing works. IT says on the screen:

I don't get it.
Maybe I'm not intelligent enough or whatever... But:
In my opinion it's anything else than 'irrelevant' if you use your phone with mobile data on and extensive gaming getting 3,5 hours sot or (for example) being connected to only WiFi and letting your phone lying around with screen on for 3,5 hours.

So your argumentation that it is irrelevant for battery life how someone uses his phone is the total opposite of everything I read so far.

Don't get me wrong I don't want to offend you, but I don't quite get your point of view nor do I get your arguments in this case.

Thanks

Of coure you're right in pointing out that it is indeed relevant if one uses his phone with mobile data on and extensive gaming getting 3,5 hours sot or being connected to only WiFi and letting your phone lying around with screen on for 3,5 hours, as the latter will definitely be less battery cosuming.

But what has been pointed out by him in all of his last posts, is how he uses his phone to put his screenshots into the correct context. Without knowing these details one wouldn't be able to believe the screens he's presented to us.

Hi.

I would try and use first Samsung Smart Switch application>Install in your PC>Samsung mobile drivers are included in Smart Switch (no need to install another driver package)>Open program>Go to Emergency Recovery Options>Then from what I remember it is in the RIGHT tab the option to use your phone's S/N (Serial Number)>If you do not have the S/N it is on the back of your phone on the bottom in very small letters>Lastly choose to update the phone and it will automatically look for the latest firmware for your phone and from your network provider (if any).

Alternatively, you can have a look at this ADB Tutorial for Beginners and use that to try and recover your phone by applying the update through ADB. You might need to Google or YouTube a bit to find how to do this.

Lastly, you could just download the original firmware for your phone from here (you wll have to register and create an account) and flash the firmware through Odin 3. Again you might have to Google or YouTube this for the steps on how to do it. This will return your phone to its original condition when you first bought it.

These are my 3 different suggestions. Perhaps someone else here might have other ideas.

Good luck mate!

Using my phone for net browsing the SOT is 5hrs with 20% remaining. Also in a bad reception area so that will chew up a little battery looking for signal. Pretty happy with that. Cpu was on for 2hrs plus as well.

So if i flash this on my sm-g920f will i get root sorry if I'm a bit of a noob kinda new to this kernel stuff
Seeing as how there's even a systemless root zip, I'd say it's a safe bet that the kernel provides root. If not, the ROM/recovery often does.
There's in fact in both cases a version of the kernel provided that comes pre-rooted; with audio mod as well as without audio mod. Both are given in the OP and found to download on AFH, wherefore the link is given in the OP as well ;)
