[KERNEL][6+] Noob Kernel 22-01-2019 [UPDATED][OC]

Hi.
I have both: P3110 and P5110 and both run 1.52GHZ fine with CandySiX-espressowifi-1.1.1-UNOFFICIAL-0320.zip + DhollmenM-Espresso_Kernel_20160629-P5110.zip OR DhollmenM-Espresso_Kernel_20160629-P3110.zip !

It is this limit I would like to test with updated ROMs and your kernel!

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (GT-P5113) 10.1 wifi LineageOS 14.1 Nougat, Upgrade Kernel.?

Hello;
This thread got my attention because of the word "Kernel"..! My Tab 2 (see Title) uses OMAP 4430 CPU, the current Kernel installed w/LineageOS 14.1 is: "3.0.101-g2450ea4, andi@Xeon". What I am attempting to do is run Ubuntu (linux) on Termux App. I followed two different installations yesterday and they both were FATAL, the reason was: Kernel is too old...! Is it possible to Upgrade the Kernel to a version that'll run Ubuntu on my Tab 2..? Of course I'd need a Kernel that's compatible w/LineageOS 14.1, I've tried to research what Kernel Ubuntu requires:
Ubuntu version, 14.04 LTS - V 3.13, version 14.10 - V 3.16, Version 16.04 LTS - v 4.4, version 18.04 LTS - V 4.15
I have no idea what Ubuntu.Image version the two Apps tried to install, the version was not mentioned in the directions..? But the size is 2GB. Any and all information to assist in this application on the Tab 2 would be greatly appreciated including the process for Upgrading the Kernel, if possible..? If not possible, could anyone recommend an alternative method...?

I don't think kernel upgrade is possible. :/ In my opinion it's not a big deal, as we don't have a proper cable for an usb device, and for powering our tablet .

Hi again !
I successfully replicated a working RR ROM with kernel v22 (pics attached) on p5100 tablet
Well it works on TWRP ver 3.2.0-0 (attached)
Step by step guide (follow to my steps because yours not working )
1. Boot to recovery TWRP
2. Flash TWRP 3.2.0-0.zip
3. Reboot to recovery by TWRP
4. Wipe all, including internal storage ( or at least in TWRP file manager delete android folder on internal storage) <--- MUST OR BOOT LOOPS WILL HAPPENS :silly:
5. Flash ROM
6. Wipe dalvik/cache
7. Flash kernel 22nd
8. Wipe dalvik/cache
9. Finally power off by TWRP
10. REMOVE SIM CARD AND SD CARD!!!!!!
11. Power on your tablet
Wait to reboot couple of times (2x or maybe 3x didn't count):cyclops:
And viola oc kernel is ready with your ROM . :fingers-crossed:

P.s.: if you wanna deep sleep force it in settings (in RR ROM its under RR setting -> Misc -> Dose powersave)

I'm on P5100, v22 causing bootloop. v20 works great.
Using TWRP 3.2.3, latest RR ROM + v20 kernel + gapps pico (nano doesn't work somehow, flashed after kernel, then wipe cache)
On reboot the RR goes to optimizing apps mode, and reboot more than 2 times, spending about 20 mins (much faster boot without gapps)
This brings a second life to my tablet! :good:
It was laggy before on lineage android 7.1.2.

I don't kow if this kernell works on android 7 roms, but it worked on android 6 rom for me. However it only worked on Resurrection Remix rom for me.(GT p3100)
If you are going to try installing it.....
Just download the file and boot into TWRP and directly install it without any wipes.
