@Septfox when you had those random reboots before, was you using on of my ROM? of 26/06

because those was affected by a Bluetooth problem that causes random reboot when using Bluetooth and you mention using it. Others ROM from 18/06 and up have that problem, with will be resolved on a change to be merged in a few days, a temp fix is on RR thread last post of my there.

Yes, I'm on the RR build from the 26th.

I saw the fix, but haven't applied it. No further reboots have occurred since I cleared out KA as you suggested, and I don't use bluetooth much myself (playing with the audio adapter I mentioned is what made me turn it on for the first time in months) , so I'm content to leave it alone until the next update :)

13 wifi channel

Hi, guys. I live in Russia. My wifi router is configured for channel 13. On the stock kernel, the phone sees my SSID. But at the kernel of the bhb27 - it seems to be a maximum of 11 channels. The choice of the country in the WiFi settings "Japan, Russia" does not help.
Help, what can I do?:(

Delete previous answer. I'm wrong.

My original answer was for the 11 U.S. 2.4Ghz channels. Other countries have more in the 2.4Ghz range.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WLAN_channels#Most_countries

MOST COUNTRIES

U.S.:

We only have 11 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi channels available to us, so I thought maybe you were confusing the 2.4 GHz channels for the 23 5GHz channels. By U.S. government FCC regulations, we can only use 11 of the 14 2.4Ghz channels to prevent conflicts with other transmissions. (The graphic above isn't entirely correct as Canada can use channel 12 -- but U.S. only has 11 2.4GHz channels available.)

what stock kernel?
On stock ROM or on your RR - wifi work's perfectly. But with this kernel - I see neighboring SSID's, but I do not see mine.

Are you confusing the 2.4GHz channels with the 5GHz channels? There's only 11 channels in the 2.4Ghz band, anywhere in the world, as far as I know.
No. In the 2.4 GHz band, there are 14 channels. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WLAN_channels
My router is only 2.4 Ghz.

See my updated reply above. U.S. is only allowed to use 11 of the 14 channels in the 2.4Ghz range. So, I thought there were only 11 channels. All U.S. wi-fi guides only describe those 11 channels -- like this current post below from ZDNet. Obviously it must be directed to U.S users only. Learn something new every day. ;)

Five ways to improve your Wi-Fi performance

July 7, 2017 | Topic: Networking

Wi-Fi sends and transmits its data via channels. On the 2.4Ghz range, there are 11 20Mhz channels, while 5GHz offers 23 20MHz channels. These channels overlap with each other. So, for example, on 2.4Ghz, the only channels that don't interfere with each other are 1, 6, and 11.

Yes I know that. But on the stock ROM or pure RR (without this kernel), my 13 channel is perfectly detected.
Of course I can configure my router to another channel. But I have many neighbors using these channels. My mother will immediately complain about the stability of the Internet on her laptop.:p

p.s. I used the kernel before, everything was fine. It seems that such a problem appeared after the 43 release, when bhb27 updated the wifi driver.

is not the wifi driver is the kernel not having the tools to read the extra channel table... last working V is 5.1...
the same driver is used on all my ROM but the change to the kernel that breaks this featuring is only present on this kernel... I fix it by re-enable the needed featuring with is only need by the current wifi driver some older version don't needed, as I don't use those up channels I did not notice before...

btw I did not even know those channel was available, here most only use 1 to 11, I'm on a OK signal vs noise region, but on the future if need will shore use those up "hide" channels..

test next version after I release it, if any problemo find let me know... :good:

I might have a possible bug with both Bluetooth and my device failing to get past the "warning, bootloader unlocked" screen two thirds of the time on reboot, and Bluetooth will not turn on again without rebooting after airplane mode is turned on.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

I don't know if this is OS or Kernel related.

I'm using the latest release of Lineage OS at the time of this post, the latest kernel release at the time of this post as well. My device is the XT1254, and I'm on Verizon if that makes any difference.

Kernel Adiutor update
KernelAdiutor-0.9.9.4.+43.BHB27-Mod.apk
Download Kernel auditor
Changelog

Installation
Just Install the apk on any ROM enjoy it.

If encounter any problem:
Clear data of yours BHB27 Kernel Adiutor app + deleted the KernelAdiutor and KA_profiles folder from internal memory (if not possible by the android file manager use TWRP one), reboot to recovery and clean/wipe Dalvik and cache before reporting things.

You can make a copy of profiles.json file inside KA_profiles folder (in case you save a profile), after the reboot place it back on the folder then apply the setting on the app, if encounter problem after the apply the profile is the problem deleted it and redo the cleaning and don't use it again...

This helps when the apps functions are odd, misbehaving and or slow to load/display.

Sharing profiles
The only thing need to share a profile is the file profile.json in side KA_profiles folder, it can be just simple copy and past to another devices, the file is very small and easy to share.

Use my version of Kernel Adiutor to better support this Kernel. :good:
