Installed V7.9 on crDroid 20170302-v2.2 (in hopes of remedying my gyro drift problems I wrote about here and performance decreased dramatically. I now often have to wait a few seconds between button presses, screen does not refresh for a few seconds when scrolling pages, phone takes seconds to react eg. to power button, switching between apps is also very slow. Generally it's like the phone is now 10 years old

Anything that needs to be reset for the kernel to work properly? I followed the OP instructions, have not seen any 'Reset to kernel defaults' option in Kernel Adiutor.

Just clear data for Kernel Adiutor and reboot your phone, it's enough to get the default settings back.

It's only been like two hours since I did that but can already feel a major difference! Phone is a lot snappier than before, will have a look at battery drain over the next few days. Thanks for your suggestion!

UPDATE: after a few hours same thing. UI is very unresponsive, scrolling in Chrome takes several seconds, unlocking the phone too, Maps is unusable

Going back to version 79, because I do not think it's just a phone as the quark gets caught having lags in heavy games, as it does in the 80/81 version of the kernel.

you don't share anything thing so is just a random complain that will take to no were in to solve it...

The the latest version broke some stuff in crdroid.
I found the v79 ver better than the latest one.
The phone shutdown unexpectedly even at 50+ charge multiple times.
Kind of panicked that my battery had given up but a clean wipe solved it.
Below attached is a zip file containing logs after the shutdown. Hope it helps.

a shutdown cleanup the logs of the reason of the shutdown, so the log shared is empty. regarding I see what causes it..
Only one report like this make hard to be a kernel problem as there is many users of it.

have you try a full clean install of the ROM?
to make shore is not something else related as a config that did get attached to the old kernel and will be cleanup after a clean install with the new, there is many things that can cause that behavior and the fix may not be possible as it can be a simple conflict of old data related to the kernel

I cleaned flashed after these issues.
In before that I actually dirty flashed on v79.
I don't know if it was some rogue app ( but since I used same apps on v79 before on v81, I don't think that's the prob)
Didn't even change configs. While switching apps and m just afraid to flash it again.

I was making a general statement, not referring to you specifically.. I replaced mines after 3 years with the quark. I'm just glad to have this phone last me all day. I'll most likely be upgrading next year..

BHB27, my maxx is restarting after the kernel is installed. This happens randomly during the day. Is there a solution? Note: I use the latest RR version of the day 28/11

Installation
Just Install the apk on any ROM enjoy it.

If encounter any problem:
Clear data of yours BHB27 Kernel Adiutor app + deleted the KernelAdiutor and KA_profiles folder from internal memory (if not possible by the android file manager use TWRP one), reboot to recovery and clean/wipe Dalvik and cache before reporting things.

You can make a copy of profiles.json file inside KA_profiles folder (in case you save a profile), after the reboot place it back on the folder then apply the setting on the app, if encounter problem after the apply the profile is the problem deleted it and redo the cleaning and don't use it again...

This helps when the apps functions are odd, misbehaving and or slow to load/display.

Sharing profiles
The only thing need to share a profile is the file profile.json in side KA_profiles folder, it can be just simple copy and past to another devices, the file is very small and easy to share.

Use my version of Kernel Adiutor to better support this Kernel. :good:
