Using US Xoom wifi. Just wiped everything and reflashed 2.0 and the 2.0.1 rom. still same problem. Kernel 2.0.

Known issue...set your wifi sleep policy to Never, and the random reboots should stop.

I've tried loading both v2.0.0 oc and stock but neither of them seem to flash. I tried it using CWM 3.2.0.0R4C and CWM 4.0.0.4. I'm running stock 3.2. Any ideas?

Stuck at Dual Core Technology Screen.

I recently flashed the 2.0 Tiamat kernal over the 1.4.3 Tiamat. After doing so my xoom is stuck on the "Dual Core Technology" screen. How do I go about getting my xoom to boot or at least getting into recovery mode? I have tried holding the up volume and power. It turns off the screen and then goes back the dual core screen. While in this screen I am not able to get my computer to see my xoom when I try running the adb devices command. Any help would be appreciated.

If I'm not mistaken, the Tiamat 2.0 Katana kernel is for those who already updated to Honeycomb 3.2. You must have still been on HC3.1 to have that 1.4.3 Tiamat kernel.That is why you are stuck.

Not to be mean, but I think you didn't do your homework before taking this step. Reading the instructions for flashing the Katana kernel it very very clearly says that it's for HC3.2 only.

You also need to practice getting into recovery:
1) Volume up and power will power off and power on your Xoom. That takes you to the Dual Core screen.
2) Once the Dual Core screen comes on, wait about 3 seconds and press volume down--then you should see Android Recovery in the top left corner of your screen.
3) Then press volume up again and that should take you to the CWM recovery menu.

If you don't have a backup to restore, (and you always should!) you should do a complete wipe (user data/factory reset/cache partitions) and then try to flash the Tiamat Rom 1.1 (which is for HC3.1). If that's successful, I believe that you can then flash the Tiamat Manta Ray Rom directly over that, which will give you your update to 3.2, preserve your root, and contains a kernel so you don't have to flash another one. If I'm wrong about this...someone, please correct me.

If that doesn't work, you may need to flash stock images. There is a lot of guidance in these forum about how and when to do these things...it's very helpful to know how to find your answers from the huge amount of info in these forums.

I can flash the ZIP in CWM without problems, no failures are reported etc., but flashing is much too fast and after rebooting I find that nothing has been written to SYSTEM. So there is still the old kernel... What can I do against that?

kev0153 is 100% right. You need to re-install the Tiamat version 3.2.0.0 R4c from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074979
The v.4.0.0.4 is not compatible with the micro sdcard.

I decided I would give it a go as my xoom felt super sluggish compared to my brothers asus The walk through and the forums have been such a big help - I was able to do it in just over one hour. If your not using the Hammerhead ROM and Tachi Kernel, then you're not using the latest stuff.
You're posting to the Katana thread which is why I stated this. Also, read up and find the sweet spot for overclocking your Xoom, you might get it to run faster.

Thanks, for that i had no idea was I was doing initially so decided on the Katana as on the post it had some instructions. Now I kinda know what I'm doing I will defo look into this. Thanks for the help much appreciated

You can use the setCPU app to control overclocking. Do not check the "set on boot" checkbox until you're certain that the clock frequency you pick is stable or you can get stuck in a boot and crash scenario. The setCPU app has some stress tests that can be helpful in determining this.

im on tiamat 1.1.0 for miui for some reason when ever i flash the asop kernel . it works fantastic. but it breaks something. i cant move apps to other panels after with this kernel. i flash stock kernel i can move them again. any ideas? other wise its a fantastic kernel.

I don't think you can use this kernel on such an old rom

Try posting in the thread for your device. This is for the motorola xoom, not the EVO3D.
