do not just flash the zImage...puts you to the RSD 3 mode...kinda fun to get out of too ;) Gives you a bit of a heart rate jump

@bigrush, what is the size of your zImage that you actually flashed? the one for the OC is like >8mb the zImage contained in this folder is >2mb

Just some clarification. Cayniarb was not aware that on the Xoom, we must flash the entire boot.img, not just the zImage as you can on other devices. Inside the download from the OP, there are 3 files. One is the boot.img which you can flash according to the instructions a few posts up. Also, there are 2 required modules which must be pushed to /system/lib/modules.

Can you redo the flashing instruction with the new info you got. Which one to flash and which ones to push etc.

My bad and sorry for the confusion on that one. I posted up the link completely forgetting that the Xoom is still sans recovery. XDA has been being funky with links today, but BRD is working to get that taken care of.

Yeah it was a little more fun than i wanted, just got worried when i couldn't get to the 'bootloader' to flash back my kernel...i added to your thread with my findings, as they were slightly different.

Finally loaded it, 3011 on Quadrant, same as with the other 1.5ghz kernel, most excellent. Interested in seeing how the smartass governor compares to interactive, battery wise.

Tried running this, as soon as i click on the smartass governor the damn thing locks up...i can run peformance at 1504 no problem with coolbho3000's kernel but it seems like i can't keep it stable on this kernel...any voltage changes?

any chance someone saved their original scsi_wait_scan.ko? I didn't make a back up...whoopsie...

EDIT: So i think i noticed my issue, i was using a charging profile from a previous kernel...i reflashed the kernel, turned the charging profile off and things seem to be running better...I also have a screen off profile that i am interested in testing to see if that kills it...any recommendations on screen off profiles? yay? nay?

There is screen off downclocking built in to the Smartass governor.
