One statement here :

Still working on it. I merged the new framebuffer driver, now the kernel bootloops for a reason I can't figure out and I don't have the serial cable to debug it (paulk from Replicant can help me with that tomorrow). It will also need some more work on platform files in the kernel.

If I ever get it to run on the Note, you are 100% guaranteed it will be working on all the other Exynos 4 devices sooner or later, but it will need some more work and testing. Also I predict that a lot of things will break with the update, for example screen sleep/resume will not recover at all, so it will need more work to workaround that.

Please be patient :good:

Hi, don't have a link now but, from my experience ask seller if battery come from Korea (good one ) or China (bad one).I had one made in China and lasted no more than 4 month...

Good luck

Increasing battery reliability

Hi everyone

I was wondering if we can reduce the battery end of charge voltage from 4.2 volts to 4.0 or 4.1 volts?
This would be great to highly increase the battery life span.
I think this can be done here "/ drivers/power/smb328_charger.c" in the kernel build tree but I have no idea how to do this .

Any idea welcome

Did you make extended tests to prove your claim? You are welcome to fry your Note by applying the modifications yourself, I won't touch this setting :D

Yes I did many tests, my job is to repair two way radios and we use the same type of batteries. :D
In fact we also must know that military equipment often charge around 4.0 volts per cell because they need high reliability especialy when they are on the field.

I do not understand why this may fry my Note, the only side effect is to loose a little capacity but the battery internal resistance will increase much slower.:good:
We must fight planned obsolescence... ;)

Ok now we're talking. I can investigate and make a test build for you, but that's not my top priority for now ;)
