It means that the Exynos 4 platform is supported out of the box in the mainline kernel. Thus future versions of the vanilla Android kernel will integrate these drivers. It means that at some point we could merge the other devices drivers (MMC, battery, touchscreen, etc) to this kernel and rebase the Omni ROM kernel on that. This will likely happen in a distant future, and it's not really interesting for now. I guess that future Android versions may require a recent Linux kernel, so it will facilitate the switch.
Is there any fix for phone process stopped problem on cm11?

Sir, it has something to do with the kernel.. when i was on crom.. i flashed rom and gapps then raw so after booting it had that problem.... but then i didnt flash raw and everything was normal

Ok. In that case copy Raw4 Kernel, new Rom, GAPPS and maybe SuperSU.zip to your SD card. Flash Raw4 Kernel First and REBOOT DIRECTLY again back to Recovery. Do all formats and wipes and Flash your new Rom...

Has anyone had any luck getting r5 to work on any roms besides omni? I tried cm11 c rom and paranoid android all get android dialer force closes

If you can extract the CM11 initramfs I can cook something for you. Same goes for latest Omni.
hey geckodev, is this kernel development discontinued? i think everyone really need a kernel for 4.4.2 roms that support UV feature. thank you anyway
