Ok, I just submitted a patch to gerrit : http://review.cyanogenmod.org/#/c/48083/

Increase lowest GPU step for 1400MHz devices

Devices using the 1400MHz Exynos 4210 are using 1280*800 screens. This
is a much bigger resolution than the Galaxy S2. 100MHz as the lowest GPU
step is too low for these devices, resulting in lag. Bump it up to
134MHz.
This means more smoothness for everyone. :good:

EDIT: it is now merged! will be included in next nightly :)

If you're on android 4.3, then flash the cm10.2 one.

This kernel works great with Nightmare rom. So super excited for the further development of this kernel. Thank you dev!!!

After reading the commit for 10.1 and checking what was changed I installed the 10.2 version here.

And with that I clearly have to apologize for my harsh statement before because a small parameter modification like this will have a positive impact.

Continue with this and let's hope there might be more findings like that.

Nice to read that! You know, getting better performance is a matter of finding the "hot spots" and working on them. That was the first obvious thing to do. :cowboy:

Another patch submitted to gerrit :

mali: pick the right GPU voltage table for 1400MHz devices, restore thresholds

8-level table was always used, resulting in increased voltages for
1400MHz devices. Now, the right table (5-level) can be picked at
runtime.

Restore the thresholds to stock value for more stable frequencies.
This change is already included in Raw Kernel, except the threshold thing. I'm testing it right now.

When making my daily cm10.2 build I added your kernel to my own script which changes parts of the original build (removing apps/media, adding Nova and now adding your kernel).

So let's see if the latest changes to 10.1 which were confirmed by Hillenbrand will appear in the cm10.2 kernel soon.

Hi GeeckoDev, can you increase the temperature of the thermal throttle? Because it is a problem in the summer, it easily reach the limit and becomes very slow.
Thank you very much :)
