@KTTech @Hank87

Stock values for Samsung JB kernel can be read here. 650mA for AC mode, 450mA for USB. So 550mA seems reasonable to me. ;)

Should be, I didn't upgrade yet.
Still, your kernel (r10 and r9 too) charge the phone in AC mode with cca. 960mAh (with good cable and proper charger) ;) The current meter of my Metex M-3800 won't lie (of cource I checked with a simple inline USB voltage/current flow meter, and it shows the same) :)
When the battery fully depleted, I can charge fully within 2.5 hours, that shows the current readings are fine (the battery's capacity cca. 2500mA).

The only thing I need is a switch to change the USB mode from data to AC mode (for that cables and chargers that don't support the "data communication"). And it requires support from the kernel. Something like this.

Hi guys, I´d asked in another thread with no luck.

Anyone know how to raise the cpu throttle temp level? Im getting cpu throttling on very demanding games (cpu underclock to 800mhz after a few minutes). I read somewhere that throttle temp is set by default at 65C, maybe raising until 70 could help. Not sure if there is any app that can change this.

Thanks.

It takes over four hours to charge the battery to full. IMHO that's a bit long.

I'm using the original Samsung AC charger (just replaced the cable because it broke), and running r10 on CM11.

What's the current rating on this charger? There have been many Samsung chargers over the years. Also, for comparison, it takes about three hours to charge my HTC One M7 from about 20% to full (it's got 2300mAh of capacity) on the Samsung charger I've got plugged in nearby.

Well the rating is 1 A, and my experience is it usually took under 3 hours to fully charge the battery under most other kernels, over 4 h is a significant difference.

That's indeed the stock rating, so no problems on the charger front unless it's giving up the ghost and not actually supplying 1A.

Fair enough... unfortunately don't have the Note so cannot time the charging for you :( We'll have to wait for other reports.

Dear Geecko, thx for the kernel. BUT I've noticed a strange bug - my phone can't reboot into recovery mode on the kernel. Infinite "rebooting" and nothing else... Before I installed ROM I used clean script, which delete all parts of old kernels.
AND often there is a very long deleting apps process. It spend about 1-2 minute :(
I reinstalled my CM11 nightly with your kernel many times, but there were same bugs. Thx4answer.

The supplied trim.zip is the same for all RAW kernel version. Or you can download an app from play (for example: Lagfix Free).

Successfully flashed rawkernel.... Can you post the link for trim.zip i couldn't find it... Thanks for your reply
Here:
Let's talk a bit about TRIM. You should do it once on /system after flashing a ROM, /data and /cache will be trimmed by Android itself. /preload is an unused partition on AOSP, you should wipe it and trim it once and for all. To make the process a lot easier, I created this flashable zip run_fstrim.zip that will trim /system, /cache, /data and /preload from the recovery. I recommend using it just after flashing a ROM (and a TRIM-enabled kernel, of course...), or right now if you have never trimmed before. :)

Using this with DU Battery Saver makes for a fast and efficient charging but it does kill my gaming a bit, which negates the battery advantage. However, it is still one of the best in terms of fluidity
