slow charging time....

since i use the raw kernel on my final omnirom (N7000) , charging battery is slower then previously! (>4h!) Why?
It is only possible to charge with the original cable and powersupply. If i use a normal usb-cable together with an usb-powerunit it is not powerfully enough to charge my battery in short time! It needs more than 7h from 10% up to 100%!!!
I have tried 3 new batterys from different manufactories.

will the development of this kernel be continued in the near future?

Have you tried another kernel?
The usb connector of n7000 is quite faulty and tends to oxidation...you could try to clean it with CRC spray and a little brush, or to replace it (but ensure it is same revision number and possibly original samsung or you could have issues with antenna)

i have tested CM11 ;SlimSaber ; ori. N7000 Rom and Omnirom final without RAW bevor. All changes with fullwipe using Philz-Kernel!
The RAW kernel ist the only one, that's charging to slow. I dont’ know why.

@GeeckoDev so the "Project Butter" for Exynos 4210 based devices is dead? I've saw JustArchi said Galaxy Mega 2 sources are not good for i9300 (I guess for n7000/i9100 too). Working HWComposer it's just a dream or maybe someday it will work? :(

Hi @GeeckoDev, so do you mean you will still update the kernel for CM 12.1 later? :p
I had plans to rebase to JB sources before @bauner did, but for some reason my kernel never booted when I included the recovery. And there are other annoying issues, like choppy audio or telephony not working well.

I'm planning to rebase to latest i9305 4.4.4 sources. It seems to include interesting fixes that could help lollipop.

Yeah there's no way to adapt the 3.4 kernel to run on the i9300, that would be too much work (and we don't have any kind of documentation). However I have been trying to backport the interesting bits to a stable kernel that works on our device. I want to do the rebase first.

What about hardware composer used by JustArchi and arter97 and implemented for the first time in Nameless ROM by dhiru1602?

Maybe this is the only chance to get HWC working like i9300. :)

It depends on fimc4x, which is a hardware unit not available in the 4210 chip. We have fimc3x which is much more limited. Maybe with some software workarounds it would be possible to make it work anyway (the idea would be to implement the 4x API on top of the 3x).

I'm planning to release the first version this week-end. Features include:
- Compatible with CM12.1
- JB rebase for stability (same as Raw TW without speedmod patchset, not based on bauner's)
- GCC 5.2 compiled
- 59Hz panel overclock
- FPBug fix
- TRIM enabled
- Updated Wi-Fi driver from i9305 KK
- zswap/vnswap from i9305 KK (it's more efficient than zram)

I have more testing to do, but I had zero crashes so far and it's pretty smooth.
Here's a test version without zswap. Please try and report :good:

Edit: the preview works with NightOwl but will cause FCs if you go back to the stock kernel or when you'll flash the final version because I forgot to enable SELinux. DO NOT FLASH IT if you don't want to do a factory reset very soon.
