I'm planning to release the first version this week-end. Features include:
- JB rebase for stability (same as Raw TW without speedmod patchset, not based on bauner's)
- GCC 5.2 compiled
- 59Hz panel overclock
- FPBug fix
- TRIM enabled
- Updated Wi-Fi driver from i9305 KK
- zswap/vnswap from i9305 KK (it's more efficient than zram)

I have more testing to do, but I had zero crashes so far and it's pretty smooth.
Here's a test version without zswap. Please try and report :good:
5.1.1 compatible?

@GeeckoDev I don't know what you did there but i will find you and i will buy you a beer. After few hours of using i can say that there is no problem with redrawing launcher after using heavy aps anymore. Also everything is working a lot quicker now, f.e. html5 movies are opening in 1-2 sec, on stock kernel it was about 10-15 sec and calling screen is arriving faster. Great job.

Good to hear. I put together a kernel with ROW iosched merged, zswap and undervolting that are missing from the test version. I must say it's even better now, zero launcher redraws so far, I actually enjoy using my phone haha. Pretty happy about that!

Next step is putting my hands in userspace and fix gralloc. I'm 99% sure it's the cause of tearing and stuttering we have. Our current version is derived from a broken ICS release and I think I can do something about that.

After that I'll look into merging bits from the mega2 kernel and have a whole new graphics stack. One day my friends. :)

Installed the kernel and all seems smooth.. I was using swap on sd before as chrome would not stand an image search for more than few minutes.. but using this with NO zram or swap. it looks alright.. chrome has not auto closed yet. looks promising. Hopefully with zswap it will be more memory friendly.. Thanks Geekodev

Edit... Mtp is not working.

Hi GeeckoDev, I'm testing war kernel r1 with resurrection 5.5.8 because it is a ROM that uses more system resources compared to NightOwl. It was a long time that I no used a cm12. I must say that this kernel, although preview, works really good. I installed many applications, and the system is always responsive. With Antutu in multitask i get very good performance.
For me is the best kernel to Lollipop.
Thanks[emoji4]

I tested War Kernel r1 with NightOwl 100315 yesterday and found some bugs.
After installation of the kernel MTP stopped working, HW Decoding with MX Player didn't work anymore and the Performance Profiles also didn't seem to work but besides that everything seemed to work

Wow, so excited to know that. Have been using the war r1 preview for a whole day and so far there's no issue. The phone is super smooth. I'm using RR 5.5.8. Can't wait for your official release...and thank you so much :p

Hi @GeeckoDev, there's a problem after updating nightowl on your kernel. After optimisation od apps there's a lot of fc's from process.media, gapps, messenger, filemanager and other apps, part of them is even not launching (FB, FB manager, gallery). One of users also told me that when he reverted to @bauner 's kernel and flashed update situation was similar. Can you check it?

The solution for me was reverted Geeko's kernel (whitout any fc) set SELinux to enforce and than reflash the bauner' kernel default.

You should follow my way to prevent problems with apps or later updates

Because of the disabled SELinux in @GeeckoDev's war kernel r1 preview you can't go back to my kernel or update the rom to 20151030 (you will get many fc's and/or missing data in apps).
The only way to fix it is:
boot to recovery-flash back my kernel-reboot the recovery(important!)-factory reset-do a clean install of the rom +gapps again
