@KalZakath you're such in a hurry :D

I don't plan to merge TWRP until it is available in a next version of NightOwl. Because it is not bugfree yet.

fimc fix will be merged pretty soon
It's because this kernel is briliant and it accelerates already fast nightowl ROM. I am not asking ETA or something, only asking are those two things can be done in same time:) IF not it is not a problem.

Regards.

Announcing War Kernel r1
This is a new kernel rebased on latest stock TW for 4210 devices (Raw Kernel was based on 4412). It is not based on @bauner's kernel sources either. This makes it a really stable kernel. I do not plan to merge anything that I don't understand or that don't produce any visible perf/energy gains.

@GeeckoDev, just wondering if this could be used as a base for i9100? There were plans to converge some of your work with what Galaxy S1 guys were doing at some point, especially regarding updated mali and wifi drivers. Now that you're based off of 4210 would it be more straightforward of a job?

Some changes to the defconfig would do the trick ;)

I am testing Mali r4p0 drivers from HardKernel. It works and looks a little bit smoother to me, however Epic Citadel has a slightly lower benchmark score and I am observing very rare graphical glitches. I will release a test version soon.

This will be a blind test: two versions, r3p2 and r4p0, and I won't say which one is updated. You will have to vote :p

Fixed camera recording will come as soon as I get a stable internet connection back...

Have been using the kernel for 2 days now. Performance and speed seems to be better then bauners kernel. Battery drain is a little bit more then the kernel bauner provides us.

Overall the kernel is working fine, perhaps you can find out what causes the higher battery drain. If you need logcat files, just give a call

War Kernel r2 will be released soon, bringing a snappier and smoother experience. Battery life should be equivalent or slightly better.

I'm not sure if it's worth releasing a Mali r4p0 test version considering there are some obvious bugs with these drivers :/

I will replace my SSD for Christmas, so I'll have enough disk space on my laptop to build a ROM by myself. Which means I'll be able to hack on the graphics stack in userspace quite easily, finally!

Announcing War Kernel r2

Changes over r1 :
- 13-step cpufreq for better scaling
- Switch to interactive cpufreq governor from 3.4-marshmallow, as recommended by Android. Snappier.
- 3-step DVFS for Mali: 160/200/267MHz instead of 134/267. UI and gaming are much smoother while limiting power draw.
- Misc fixes

Download :
* war_kernel_r2_cm121.zip for NightOwl 20151030
* Sources are available on GitHub

Please report if the battery life has decreased on your side. It shouldn't be the case. :fingers-crossed:

EDIT: 3h23 screen on time, 7% left.

At the core "War CM12.1" work two-way record the conversation from the line? if not, it is possible to add - please add. A very topical feature and high-quality recording than once saved from unscrupulous clients, and other business and personal problems.

Have installed the R2 kernel and will do some testing. First impression is that it works really smooth, but only have it like 2 hours used it so far :)
