I just flashed the kernel only, rebooted, opened up STweaks from app drawer, set min to 300mhz, set max OC to 1800mhz, set gpu to 640mhz, and left the other settings stock for the time being. I gained 2500 points running antutu benchmark. 17200 stock, 19600 with flux kernel. Seems rock solid so far...need a couple days to see how battery life is with that much OC, but its SMOOTH!

Yup jut do kernel first. Then 5g which will do gov tweaks and cpu gpu oc uv to the most aggressive voltage curve. If it Boot loops just flash 4 and continue
Also the set on boot uncheck is only needed if you want to retain your profile that caused a boot loop so you can adjust it

I flashed 5g. It booted but the rebooted a few times. So I had 0 on my SD card and decided to flash it to go back to stock settings but then it got stuck at the boot animation for 5 min. Gonna try again with 4 and see if I get better results.

Flashed kernel then rebooted system... Then went into recovery and flashed 5g and booted up perfect running beans build 2...what profile will yield the best battery life & also should I be using an app like set cpu or is it not necessary... Just looking for best battery life

Do not flash anything with odin! Just flash the kernel in recovery.

TAKING LONGER TO BOOT IS NORMAL! (FIRST TIME ONLY)
with profile 0 (that just deletes it and has the kernel rebuild one)
the other ones apply updates to your current profile.

No. It installs a tweaks app in the drawer. I had no frills installed and uninstalled it.

profile 5g will provide best battery, if its stable for you (not all chips are equal and cant handle the same voltage that I can)
setcpu is NOT needed, everything is configurable from STWEAKS, and stweaks profiles are applied before the boot animation, where setcpu is after android is fully booted.

I sometimes put the phone on power saving mode.. Do you recommend with kernel? My thinking is that probably not needed since tweaks are included..
