Wanted to give you another "Thank You"

Thank You!

.... btw- i had seen that you have already moved to Boost?
.....Just got my Message Yesterday! Thought it was some B.S., Went and looked all that up. Yep, No More Virgin Mobile USA!!! Bum deal.
Guess any left, is being Forced over to Boost...
So have a Q or 2
(Again, thought i ha seen that you made this move)
So, where, and how old is the Boost Apn zip? Is this rather New ( not over 3yrs old) ?

Not too sure if I will go in to a store and make the move myself, or sit here and wait for the change! I still plan to keep this S5, for now. plus, after looking at there website, they sure sell a ton of "Used" Android phones. No way in Galaxy, would I purchase a Used phone. Trust issues and all...

Thanks for the time. As Well as the work on a Newer Kernel Updates!!!

Yes, I switched to Boost a while back. To do so, I had to go to the local Boost Mobile store and have them reprogram the nv partition and purchase a new SIM card. As for the apn fix, if you go to Boost let me know, I have an updated and modified version I made for my use after many failed attempts to use the "universal boost apn fix".

Ok, I get it, I think.... Am not sure, When I will be actually moved to Boost, And that is a huge Q . Seeing how this is suppose to be no headache, no extra charges etc. Really thinking about stopping in a store, and see what they know, if anything, and hope they could help.

Yes, I Will be needing Anything new for Boost. Seeing how you have used the same APN zip that I do have , and seeing how it did not help. So, if you can share that, Would be greatly happy! Pm and let me know details. Dont need it today, am in no hurry at present, but next month am sure will be a headache...

Need to do a have a Look See at Galaxy S5 Unified Development....

The-Skater-187 ... Are you indicating that you are working on a Different / Newer "10" Alpha 1.0 ???
OR, is that based of the 1.7 version, just renamed???

Might have Install to see what may be coming, at least its a different Team. did notice, that they really do not have the Galaxy S5 SM-G900P , Listed !?!?! (please correct me me if am wrong on this.)

Thanks

I have been keeping up to date with the Lineage OS 17.1 status. The 900p or Kltespr/kltedv are not yet being built for.

As for kernel related things, same kernel, just working on Los17 compatibility.

Not for me and i am using this Rom + latest Ares Kernel since 5 months. Best Stable Rom and Kernel for me :eek:

Thanks @All Developers :highfive:

I had this problem where it just won't boot. gets stuck on bootsplash (Samsung Galaxy S5 screen) for more than 3 minutes.

is that normal on first flash?

i think it's a clean flash yeah, i reflashed the rom which means that it'd go back to stock kernel and then flashed ares.

latest twrp

Hmmm okay.

Try this.

Go to TWRP an wipe system,data,cache and dalvik.

Install Rom and Gapps and Magisk ( iam using open gapps pico)
Now try to Boot wait 5-10 min.

It is booting?

Yes! Go back to recovery install Kernel and restart. Wait a little bit.

Wait for Feedback.

P.S. You can write me a pm ;)

as much as i want to do this, i probably wouldn't because I'm basically switcing to Q soon, just looking for a quick solution.

maybe if kernel supports Q I'd give it a go! thanks for helping.

I can't do builds for android Q until other variants are being built for, as I have a SM-G900p and only klte is being built for right now. So therefore I can not test full functionality. So until that day comesI will not be able to release a Q kernel.

    This kernel is a combination of SmartPack/Boeffla-Venom Samsung Galaxy S5 Lineage OS kernel, with some tweaks and additions from around the net. I have decided that since SmartPack was EOL and with sunilpaulmathews ok, I would just combine our two kernels (since fbs has Boeffla-Kernels covered) to make it easier for me to maintain his work and my own.

    /* DISCLAIMER! *\
    *I am not responsible for any damage to your device*
    * Everything you are doing on your device is at your own risk*
    *Don't forget to make a back up before flashing*

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Flash at own risk~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    /* Supported devices *\
    klte: SM-G900F, SM-G900AZ, SM-G900M, SM-G900R4, SM-G900R7, SM-G900T, SM-G900V, SM-G900W8, SM-S902L
    /* Compatibility *\
    DO NOT FLASH OVER CUSTOM KERNELS!
    This kernel is only meant to work on Lineage-OS 15.1/16 and nothing else. However, it may work on other LOS-15.1/16 (and AOSP) based Oreo/Pie ROMs
    This kernel will NOT work in Samsung Stock and other TW ROMs.
    /* How-to-Install *\
    *Download Kernel*
    1. Go to recovery (TWRP recommend)
    2. Flash Kernel
    3. Reboot and enjoy
    /* Incorporated SmartPack Features *\
    Build from latest Lineage OS source code.
    Built using latest GCC-8.x.
    Anykernel for compatibility with maximum devices.
    Added features include...
    CPU voltage control
    CPU Freq Gov: INTELLIDEMAND, INTELLIACTIVE, SMARTMAX, LIONHEART, NIGHTMARE, ADAPTIVE, ALUCARD, ZZMOVE, etc.
    (for those who want to use zzzmove, I strongly suggest to carefully read this forum post by @Saber)
    CPU hotplugs: Lazyplug, Alucard, and mako hotplug.
    Full control over AC, USB and Wireless charging rate in SmartPack-Kernel Manager (Default charging rates: AC: 1800 mA; USB 700 mA; Wireless: 900 mA).
    /* Special note to Korean S5 users *\
    (Thanks to sunilpaulmathews defconfig files)
    Flashing this kernel after AOSP/LOS based Oreo/Pie ROMs originally build for the klte (SM-G900F) variant SHOULD allow the use of those ROMs on SM-G900S/K/L.
