Uhh it just me or had anyone else noticed the LineageOS kernel github repo for Los 16 has been extremely quiet lately? Did I miss something?

UNLESS asked to do so, PLEASE don't PM me regarding support. Sent using The ClaRetoX2 Forum {Beta} App on my Enigma Machine {aenigma = Latin for "Riddle" AND Nickname for "My Ex-Wife"}.

Yeah, I've been checking every other day to see if there had been any updates and nothing but tumbleweeds and crickets, lol.

Thanks for your work on this @The~Skater~187 . I read through the thread but I couldnt find if anyone was using this with a sim, aka using data from sprint? I love the way it runs on wifi, but as soon as i try to make a phone call, I get nothing. And all the settings are greyed out in LOS Mobile network settings. I tried with fresh installs of oreo and pie, also removing and reinsertng the sim with fresh installs. Also tried with backups of los, both oreo and pie, same issue. I also tried different combinations of rebooting, removing ans reinserting with fresh and backups of lineageos.
I just flashed Boeffla unofficial and data does work...
Anyone have this experience? Thanks for all your efforts!

I am currently running this on my Sprint S5 (kltespr) which I switched over to Boost Mobile and am running the latest havoc rom for kltedv with no signal issues. Been running it for months.

Are you sure you download the correct kernel version, kltedv?

Thanks for the reply. I will double check. Meanwhile, would you recommend havoc? I will report if I find my mistake or not.

No problem, please keep me posted on how you make out. Yes I like havoc myself as well as Resurrection Remix. I usually switch back and forth between those two.

I rebooted and found no network, then booted TWRP and flashed EFS. I doubt booting the kernel before flashing EFS is necessary, but I don't know for sure.
Thanks @elahn. do you flash efs to boot or to recovery? when i try to flash to boot it says file to big, when i flash to recovery bad things happen and i have to reflash twrp. Also how did you make the efs backup? did you do it with a full rom backup in twrp or did you make a backup with just efs and no other partitions?

EFS is a completely separate partition, and should NOT be mixed up or confused with the boot or recovery partitions!

Sorry it's been ages since I've last had to deal with the EFS partition and I can't remember the exact details. There should be some other threads here on XDA about S5 EFS backup/restore :)
