It's scary to think it's been 4+ year since I discovered bluspark and it's still my goto kernel on any device I get. Yet again, a solid kernel. Somehow I even got widevine L1 and I shouldn't. well done!

blu_crew baby 😎

And me thinking I've been doing this stuff for 10 years (in xda at least, more than that really).

Time flies.

AFK works as well there are others. you posted this same question in the twrp forum as well. U can backup kernels and even flash kernels with it.

blu_spark_r90 release

New build is up (y)

This kernel is tested for the 8 Pro and 8T variants which I have, regular OP8 in OOS 11 is said to be working fine by some users.
You can use FKM download kernel feature, just import the links bellow in the app.
FKM download configs: oos | custom

Changelog:
  • Build with Google Clang 12.0.3 + LLD linker
  • "f2fs: Fix deadlock between f2fs_quota_sync and block_operation"
  • Revert "kbuild: disable clang's default use of -fmerge-all-constants"
  • bq27541: Return -ENODATA when DASH charging
  • cnss2: Load China BDF files for PJ_ID=14+HW_ID=21|22 combo
  • qseecom: Add boundary checks between two subsequent fields
  • arm64: fix bootloader_memory_limit
  • Revert "drivers: msm: Don't copy fence names by default"
  • AnyKernel3 sync

Keep in mind: I will give no active support for custom ROMs (including OOS based ones).
I am mostly interested on debugging stuff in stock stable OOS (with logs and reproducible steps to replicate the issue).

No mirrors please
Don't forget to hit thanks, it's free :)

As always thank you brother. Noticed that the same time you pushed this update canary for magisk came out at well.

This came at a perfect time as last night I had a random reboot and wasn't able to pull a log. So far so good though.

Hey, Im hoping someone can help me with this.
I just came from the 7 pro. Ive done a lot of reading so far and decided to stick with A10 until 11 has twrp.

I flashed magisk patched recovery image, flashed twrp, booted to system, everything running smooth. Flashed magisk modules, no issues.
However as soon as I flash a custom A10 kernel via EXKM (I tried BluSpark and Kirasakura) my fingerprint reader stops working. It wont work again until I re-flash stock boot img.

Ive been reading for 2 days before diving in, but I have to be missing something.

Any chance of adding color control to your kernel?

Nope, it doesn't work all that well with optical FOD.
Also there's already lot's of color control in the ROM.
Hmm. Works perfectly fine on radioactive kernel, smurf and other kernels for 8 pro that I've used. But, maybe I'm missing something behind the scenes. You know your kernel better than me

    blu_spark_r237 release (A14 custom)

    New build is up (y)

Build targeting lineage-21.0-20240217-nightly, kernel build may work with other ROMs that use similar device/kernel trees.
This kernel is for the 8T but it's unified, so should work for the OP8/Pro also.

For flashing and easy of install logging, Kernel Flasher is recommended

You can use Kernel Flasher/FKM download kernel feature, just import the link bellow in the app updates/flash section.
    Download config: custom

    Changelog:
    • Merge lineage-21.0 from LineageOS/android_kernel_oneplus_sm8250
    • CodeLinaro device updates
    • slight rebase/cleanup for LOS21 merge
    • erofs updates
    • For root, Magisk 27.0 or newer is mandatory

Keep in mind: I will give no active support for custom ROMs besides LineageOS.
I am mostly interested on debugging stuff with logs and reproducible steps to replicate the issue.

On lineage-21.0-20240315 and battery drain is improved significantly. The drain in 6-7 hours with screen off during at night when I'm asleep went from 12%-15% drain to about 2%-3%. Performance seems to be not impacted as scrolling and other cpu intensive processes are very fast and smooth.

    DOWNLOAD KERNEL ZIP
FKM download configs: oos | custom
    (No mirrors please)

Setup and troubleshoot: To install just flash the zip on a stock setup with either TWRP or autoflash kernel app.
If you come from other kernel or have any issues, you should restore your stock boot.img or dirty flash your ROM before flashing blu_spark zip to avoid problems. Also uninstall or clean data of any kernel control app you're using.
If you are upgrading between blu_spark versions, just flash the kernel zip.

About bugs and reports: don't bother to post if a log isn't ready or without steps so the behavior can be replicated. I only active support ROMs with NO mods whatsoever (apart from root). That includes NO support if using xposed, Magisk with added modules, etc.
Currently only LineageOS or LOS based ROMs are supported, OOS is EOL.
Also try not to spam the thread with OT. There's threads for all kind of stuff, use them.

Going back to stock: This kernel installer doesn't change your filesystem. You can backup your boot.img with TWRP or kernel app before flashing blu_spark if you want to go back to full stock or just dirty flash your full ROM.
