Both 250 and 300 behave similar, there's not much change.
250 seems to be the best compromise between throughput and interactiveness and has since been picked up by all the new devices and mainline.
Google still ships 300 in some previous devices but on newer ones it defaults to 250 also.
Okay thank you very much for your answer really appreciate it ^^

hello i'm kind of new with OP8, trying out this kernel. i noticed the kernel doesn't help bypass safetynet. is there any reason it's not implemented? i'm trying to stay away from magisk because it adds up extra "maintainance" and i don't really need any root features.

blu_spark_r115 release

New build is up!

This kernel is tested for the 8 Pro and 8T variants which I have, regular OP8 in OOS 11 is said to be working fine by some users.
You can use FKM download kernel feature, just import the links bellow in the app.
FKM download configs: oos

Changelog:
  • Synchronize codes for OnePlus 8T Oxygen OS 11.0.12.12.KB05AA and OnePlus 8 Oxygen OS 11.0.9.9.IN21AA and OnePlus 8 Pro Oxygen OS 11.0.9.9.IN11AA
  • AnyKernel3 updates (v20211215)
  • For root, Magisk v23.0 or newer is mandatory

Keep in mind: I will give no active support for custom ROMs (including OOS based ones).
I am mostly interested on debugging stuff in stock stable OOS (with logs and reproducible steps to replicate the issue).

Plans to update to the new .10.10 update or no relevant changes?

I know the dev said that he does not provide active support for custom ROMs. I would just like to know whether there are people here who are using this wonderful kernel on custom roms. Specifically Havoc OS? I badly want to try this kernel because the next best kernel available for custom roms is Radioactive but my 8T experiences annoying bugs on that kernel. I specifically enjoy the msm_touchboost but only Bluspark and radioactive have that,

Hello!
All the latest Versions of blue_spark Kernel only supports OOS so they can not be flashed on custom ROMs as far as I know.
The last Version which was available for custom ROMS was blue_spark r51 from 16-09-2020.

hey thanks for your work!
pretty strange, with this release i get about the double idle drain than with r114.
reverted back to r114, idle drain is half again.

Will the new kernel run on Magisk 23? Magisk 24 is too problematic and I don't want to switch to it.

The first stable release of a12 is the thing keeping me away from it. I reverted back to 11 because of issues with the camera. The camera app would reset itself every few seconds when open, causing any video to stop recording.

Are you guys flashing in FK or TWRP?
FKM, but I'm on A12 now to see if they've fixed the bugs I was having. (Hint: They haven't)

Thanks, I ended up using TWRP since I knew there wouldn't be issues.

I have no interest in moving to 12 until TWRP is fully functional. If that never happens I'll migrate the hard way if necessary. It's just so simple via TWRP if you know the process.

I don't think I've used TWRP since maybe A9? Possibly longer. Fastboot and magisk manager have been more than sufficient for my own needs.

I still like to keep up on it's development status, but it's not an essential tool for me at this point

    DOWNLOAD KERNEL ZIP
FKM download configs: oos | custom
    (No mirrors please)

Setup and troubleshoot: To install just flash the zip on a stock setup with either TWRP or autoflash kernel app.
If you come from other kernel or have any issues, you should restore your stock boot.img or dirty flash your ROM before flashing blu_spark zip to avoid problems. Also uninstall or clean data of any kernel control app you're using.
If you are upgrading between blu_spark versions, just flash the kernel zip.

About bugs and reports: don't bother to post if a log isn't ready or without steps so the behavior can be replicated. I only active support stock OOS ROM with NO mods whatsoever (apart from root). That includes NO support if using xposed, Magisk with added modules, etc.
If you're using custom ROMs (including stock based ones) and OOS Open Betas you're much on your own. I'm mostly interested on debugging stuff in stock and stable OOS.
Also try not to spam the thread with OT. There's threads for all kind of stuff, use them.

Going back to stock: This kernel installer doesn't change your filesystem. You can backup your boot.img with TWRP or kernel app before flashing blu_spark if you want to go back to full stock or just dirty flash your full ROM.
