Well, people should express their concerns and needs to OnePlus directly.
Just posting in a forum thread won't do much.
Do u know a thread in Oneplus forums that we can use to let them know sources needs to be released? In the last release some one from another group has raised a thread and they released it next day. Probably need to do that again

With OP's current software rollout strategy dont expect such miracles overnight. Not sure if that some1 posted in OP or OPPO thread, coz that's where all the magic will happen going forward. Sad but true..

blu_spark_r171 release

New build for Android 11 is up!

This kernel is unified, should be good on OP6/6T (6T untested).
You can use FKM download kernel feature, just import the link bellow in the app :highfive:
FKM download configs: oos

Changelog:
  • Synchronize codes for Oneplus 6/6T OxygenOS 11.1.1.1
  • lz4 updates
  • AnyKernel3 updates and fixes (v20211018)
  • For root, stable Magisk 23.0 or newer is mandatory

Keep in mind: I will give no active support for custom ROMs (including OOS based ones).
I am mostly interested on debugging stuff in stock stable OOS (with logs and reproducible steps to replicate the issue).

No mirrors please
Don't forget to hit thanks, it's free :)

Seems to work great. No boot problems on my 6t with 11.1.1.1.
Thanks!

Yep, working great on 6T. I wonder- what happened to the sound control section? I can't find the mic and ear speaker gain bars in my kernel tweaker :/

How can we toggle the touchboost programmatically? I cannot seem to find the controls in /sys anywhere. I would like to write a script to control it but cannot locate it.

The frequencies of both cpu sets get stuck at 1056mhz about two out of three times I boot my phone in the morning and toggling touchboost fixes this. There just seems to be no way to keep touchboost enabled after reboot as it always defaults to disabled.

Other than the stuck frequencies I have not had other issues with this kernel and it has been running great!

No, touchboost isn't disabled by default, you have something else setting that up and ergo the wonky behavior.

I would still like to control it with a script if possible as that's how I set most my tweaks. Where are the entries in /sys or wherever for touchboost?

Edit: Think I found it:
/sys/module/msm_performance/parameters/touchboost

Thanks again for the great kernels, they work fantastic on both my 5T and 6T

Hi @eng.stk I have installed the latest release on OOS 11 and it seems working except wireguard is not using the kernel backend :(
Is this feature missing in the android 11 version?

By the way thank you for your amazing work!

Go to the wireguard app advanced settings and toggle the kernel module mode.
Sometimes that happen after app update.
Unfortunately there is no such setting. Any idea?

    DOWNLOAD KERNEL ZIP
FKM download configs: oos | custom
    Extras download location
    (No mirrors please)

Setup and troubleshoot: To install just flash the zip on a stock setup with either TWRP or autoflash kernel app.
If you come from other kernel or have any issues, you should restore your stock boot.img or dirty flash your ROM before flashing blu_spark zip to avoid problems. Also uninstall or clean data of any kernel control app you're using.
If you are upgrading between blu_spark versions, just flash the kernel zip.

About bugs and reports: don't bother to post if a log isn't ready or without steps so the behavior can be replicated. I only active support stock OOS ROM with NO mods whatsoever (apart from root). That includes NO support if using xposed, Magisk with added modules, etc.
If you're using custom ROMs (including stock based ones) and OOS Open Betas you're much on your own. I'm mostly interested on debugging stuff in stock and stable OOS.
Also try not to spam the thread with OT. There's threads for all kind of stuff, use them.

Going back to stock: This kernel installer doesn't change your filesystem. You can backup your boot.img with TWRP or kernel app before flashing blu_spark if you want to go back to full stock or just dirty flash your full ROM.

Keep it real, keep it true, keep it blu :highfive:

Keep in mind: I will give no active support for custom ROMs (including OOS based ones).
Meaning, if using anything besides stock and stable OOS don't bother posting about it.
I am only interested on debugging stuff in stock and stable OOS (with logs and reproducible steps to replicate the issue).
Don't spam this thread with LOS or other ROMs stuff like "this don't work, my app doesn't open, etc" or debugging features.
Also don't go spam and bug reporting on ROM threads if using this.
