Can anyone explain the changes from the 173 changelog a little better? Not sure what half of that means but kernel seems good and snappy on the 6t!

Flashed the latest version no problems so far on latest oos 11.1.2.2 .. only issue i found is when disable touch input boost cpu frequencies locked at highest available and causes a battery drain and I cannot change it unless i enable touch input boost again .. is it normal ?

It's because of this kernel that I stay on OOS 11 and not on a custom rom. Blu spark never stops to be amazing on every update! Battery savings is impeccable compared to any custom rom and I tried them all!!!

You need also to disable cpu boost prior to that or it will catch the cpu boost event when toggling touchboost buttoton in kernel apps, been discussed several times in my threads.
You will gain nothing from disabling boost stuff in modern devices imo.

Thanks for the information, I'm sorry didn't found about this in your threads, I tried that and worked perfectly, actually my battery health is at 90% so i just try to disable every single boost thing to get maximum battery thats all. 😊😊

Question: Is blu spark known to be incompatible with LineageOS (it will never work), or just that it's unsupported? Thanks.

Hi! Can you add support for the "iptables" rule? (TTL)

it works fine in the "Radioactive Kernel", but it's a v10 kernel.

blu_spark_r175 release

New build is up!

This kernel is unified, should be good on OP6/6T (6T untested).
You can use FKM download kernel feature, just import the link bellow in the app :highfive:
FKM download configs: oos

Changelog:
  • Synchronize codes for Oneplus 6/6T OxygenOS 11.1.2.2
  • AnyKernel3 updates (v20220126)
  • For root, Magisk 24.1 or newer is mandatory

Keep in mind: I will give no active support for custom ROMs (including OOS based ones).
I am mostly interested on debugging stuff in stock stable OOS (with logs and reproducible steps to replicate the issue).

Would be great to have this kernel for Lineage 19, it'll be released in April. A lot of improvements and having a bluspark kernel for it would be amazing. Micro-G is starting to really be utilized with custom roms and having this kernel in a degoogled phone would result in battery savings significantly. Thats a beautiful thing!

Is there a way on the kernel end of things to enable data and charging at the same time, like to actually use a usb-c game controller with pass through charging, or wired audio and charging? Is this just a long running flaw of OOS, or is it a hardware issue?

Any insight on how I might make this work would be greatly appreciated.

Can you please tell me if the logcat error I continue to get (it's like few lines each second):

surfaceflinger: [frame_perf] perfboost open boost file failed

is kernel related ? Is this a settings I missed? I can't find nothing about this in search.

Thanks again.

OP boost framework searching for stuff it can't find.
Don't worry about it, just annoying userspace warnings.

Yeah, doesn't it slow down the phone by creating the log spam ? Thanks for the quick reply, this one is just crazy. I see it's not kernel related so it can't be fixed :-( .

    DOWNLOAD KERNEL ZIP
FKM download configs: oos | custom
    Extras download location
    (No mirrors please)

Setup and troubleshoot: To install just flash the zip on a stock setup with either TWRP or autoflash kernel app.
If you come from other kernel or have any issues, you should restore your stock boot.img or dirty flash your ROM before flashing blu_spark zip to avoid problems. Also uninstall or clean data of any kernel control app you're using.
If you are upgrading between blu_spark versions, just flash the kernel zip.

About bugs and reports: don't bother to post if a log isn't ready or without steps so the behavior can be replicated. I only active support stock OOS ROM with NO mods whatsoever (apart from root). That includes NO support if using xposed, Magisk with added modules, etc.
If you're using custom ROMs (including stock based ones) and OOS Open Betas you're much on your own. I'm mostly interested on debugging stuff in stock and stable OOS.
Also try not to spam the thread with OT. There's threads for all kind of stuff, use them.

Going back to stock: This kernel installer doesn't change your filesystem. You can backup your boot.img with TWRP or kernel app before flashing blu_spark if you want to go back to full stock or just dirty flash your full ROM.

Keep it real, keep it true, keep it blu :highfive:

Keep in mind: I will give no active support for custom ROMs (including OOS based ones).
Meaning, if using anything besides stock and stable OOS don't bother posting about it.
I am only interested on debugging stuff in stock and stable OOS (with logs and reproducible steps to replicate the issue).
Don't spam this thread with LOS or other ROMs stuff like "this don't work, my app doesn't open, etc" or debugging features.
Also don't go spam and bug reporting on ROM threads if using this.
