blu_spark_r187 release (A12 custom)

New build is up (y)

I tested with lineage-19.1-20221124-nightly-kebab-signed.zip, kernel build may work with other ROMs that use similar device/kernel trees.
This kernel is tested for the 8T but it's unified, so should work for the OP8/Pro also.

For flashing and easy of install logging, Kernel Flasher is recommended

You can use Kernel Flasher/FKM download kernel feature, just import the link bellow in the app updates/flash section.
Download config: custom

Changelog:
  • Build with custom upstream LLVM 15.x (Clang 15.0.5 + LLD linker + IAS)
  • Merge lineage-19.1-20221124-nightly kernel updates
  • msm: dsi_panel: add backlight max option
  • msm: dsi_display: adjust scale to new max
  • defconfig: sync with lineage-19.1-20221124-nightly-kebab
  • wireguard updates
  • AnyKernel3 updates (v20221111)
  • For root, Magisk 25.2 or newer is mandatory

Keep in mind: I am mostly interested on debugging stuff with logs and reproducible steps to replicate the issue.

I will give no active support for custom ROMs (just kidding ;p).

Running great now on the latest Lineage nightly build. Thank you as always! Keeping the last good OP device alive.

Thank you for this kernel, @eng.stk – used yours extensively on the OP3 back when, so I'm glad to see you're doing a kernel for this daily driver as well.
One thing though - the intro post for this thread seems to be outdated, since I don't see support for bbr on the actual kernel, for example.

Hello colleagues, I installed version 130 on a oneplus 8t with oos11 and Android 11.
To manage it I use smart pack kernel manager, and in the Wakelock section there is nothing en boeffla.
It takes and I think some wakelock data should appear already a few days installed.
Which application is recommended to manage the kernel?

Working with Aicp 17.1 A12 on the OnePlus 8t kebab. I repost my experience after a bit longtime test.

Warp charging works and faster as with the stock aicp kernel.

Hello! I also have a Oneplus 8T. Currently, I'm on Nameless A13 ROM (OOS 12-based). I would like to know if your kernel will work on OOS 12-based custom roms. You mentioned that you're on LOS 20. Is LOS 20 for OP 8T based on OOS 13 or OOS 12?

Anyone else seeing "connect to network" issues? On los19.1 with blu r187, I was seeing it any time I switched from WiFi to cell network or after reboot. I'm seeing it again on LOS20 with r196. When I flash stock kernel back, it doesn't happen.

    DOWNLOAD KERNEL ZIP
FKM download configs: oos | custom
    (No mirrors please)

Setup and troubleshoot: To install just flash the zip on a stock setup with either TWRP or autoflash kernel app.
If you come from other kernel or have any issues, you should restore your stock boot.img or dirty flash your ROM before flashing blu_spark zip to avoid problems. Also uninstall or clean data of any kernel control app you're using.
If you are upgrading between blu_spark versions, just flash the kernel zip.

About bugs and reports: don't bother to post if a log isn't ready or without steps so the behavior can be replicated. I only active support stock OOS ROM with NO mods whatsoever (apart from root). That includes NO support if using xposed, Magisk with added modules, etc.
If you're using custom ROMs (including stock based ones) and OOS Open Betas you're much on your own. I'm mostly interested on debugging stuff in stock and stable OOS.
Also try not to spam the thread with OT. There's threads for all kind of stuff, use them.

Going back to stock: This kernel installer doesn't change your filesystem. You can backup your boot.img with TWRP or kernel app before flashing blu_spark if you want to go back to full stock or just dirty flash your full ROM.
