Anyone tried to flash latest 9.0.3 OTA with blu_spark's TWRP 9.91? I have tried and I got zip file is corrupted (tried with and without compatibility.zip). Zip files is not corrupted, I have tested CRC, and it is Ok.
You must have removed the compatibility.zip the wrong way, also not needed with latest bluespark twrp if you already have pie installed.
Or the download from the rom is corrupted, check md5 hashes.

Edit: see that you did check the hashes.
Then you removed the compatibility.zip the wrong way, also not needed if on pie and latest twrp

blu_spark r155 release (pie unified)

All right crew!

New build is up!
Pie builds are unified, also good to go on 5T :good:

Because of latest TWRP and Oreo changes, you'll need to use TWRP 3.2+ or my unified TWRP 3.2.3-x blu_spark v9.91 (recommended).
Any other versions may not have full support for the kernel and the installer.

blu_spark_r155-oos-pie_op5-op5t_eae4f42a4.zip
blu_spark_r155-custom_pie_op5-op5t_66d4df9bf.zip

  • makefile: enable tree vectorization
  • mdss_dsi: restore high brightness mode
  • wireguard: update to v0.0.20190123
  • AnyKernel2 updates
  • input: fpc1020: adjust haptic check for prox shut-off (custom only)
  • fpc: Proximity shut-off (custom only)

Keep in mind: I will give no active support for custom ROMs (including OOS based ones).
I am only interested on debugging stuff in stock and stable OOS (with logs and reproducible steps to replicate the issue).
Don't spam this thread with LOS or other ROMs stuff like "this don't work, my app doesn't open, etc" or debugging features.
Also don't go spam and bug reporting on ROM threads if using this.

No mirrors please

Don't forget to hit thanks and rate the thread nicely, it's free :)

Thanks for the update, but I'm getting a zip treble compatibility error with both r153 and r155 when trying to install 9.0.3 from 9.0.2 on my OP5. Any ideas? I shouldn't have to remove the compatibility.zip when updating from Pie, right?

Edit: NVM solved by reflashing the img first, installed 9.0.3 without any issue afterward. Thanks again :good:

If you're on Oreo you have to use the previous version 9.85 as 9.91 requires pie firmware.
LoL i thought i softbricked my device last weekend due to this. Had to start from scratch since it didn't boot to recovery anymore (blue light of death etc..) Had to ADB version 9.85.

Anyway, can i still use v9.85 with a Pie firmware ROM? Or is upgrading to 9.91 necessary while using a custom ROM which uses Pie Firmware?

Thanks in advance. (since I'm afraid to upgrade again LoL)

On Pie you can use 9.85 and 9.91, both versions will work.

Thanks, I was miss-reading the instructions for upgrading to pie. I always would make sure I have the latest twrp before flashing.

So update to pie then update twrp.

Thanks!
Exactly.

I just finished upgrading to 9.0.3 from 8.1.0 (oos 5.1.7)
Look at my process here
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=78770334&postcount=2712

I remembered being able to install twrp from adb and fastboot and used these commands with the phone connected to a pc to change versions of twrp without being in twrp or in the OS.
https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-install-twrp/
Scroll down to "Install from ADB"

Good luck
Enjoy fps drop :) I'm downgrading to 8.1 in few hour. I have to smooth pc to watch how my phone is sluttering and tearing

Kernel doesn't know or care about apps or accounts.

Dirty flash your rom and after that the kernel again.

Sent from my OnePlus 5 using XDA Labs
Confused, how is that different from flashing the kernel after flashing the ROM already? (current state)

Steps I took last night when upgrading:

1. Updated to latest blu spark TWRP
2. Flashed 9.0.3 firmware zip for OOS (the 60MB firmware pkg, not the full ROM)
3. Fully wiped everything (I needed a fresh start anyway)
4. Flashed Pixel Experience ROM
5. Flashed Magisk
6. Flashed bluSpark (several reboots later after config'ing everything and seeing batt drain I didnt like).

At a glance, sounds like you're proposing I do what was already done (flashing the kernel after the ROM)?

Edit: did this and same result -- WiFi wont turn on. Hit toggle, it tries to turn on, fails and back to OFF.
