blu_spark extras v9.116 (A10 support)

All right crew!

Here's an updated TWRP with all the blu_spark goodies inside and fully synced with TWRP Android-9.0 branch (including more recent upstream than official TWRP) and some specific device fixes.

Fully synced with TWRP 3.4.0+, name changing to reflect base 9.version, full compatible with Pie stuff (you need Pie fw also) and A10.
TWRP blu_spark edition is unified, works for both OP5/5T.
Delete your twrp settings or else issues may arise if coming from other version besides blu_spark.
This build is treble ready, allowing /vendor partition operations. If you don't use treble enabled ROMs, ignore any vendor errors that may appear, TWRP will work just fine.

twrp-3.4.0-x_blu_spark_v9.116_treble-op5_op5t

  • build: TWRP 3.4.0-x | blu_spark v9.116
  • Exclude the dumpsys dumps from backups, to avoid error 255 when restoring data backups
  • Fix up cache wipe issue in A-Only device
  • Update the Spanish translation.
  • minuitwrp ev_init: delay start if specified in board
  • Device specific changes here

Wakelock blocker info and example script

I'm just sharing my personal mods since people asked, meaning no support will be given (don't bother post about it).

Hi Dev

Thanks for the release. A bit of a noob question here:
If I'm coming from another TWRP, How do I delete TWRP settings?
Is deleting the TWRP folder on my storage root enough?
Cheers

@eng.stk : Did you turn off GPU boost?
It does appear to be off by default now. I used to turn it off all the time but have been leaving it at kernel default for a while now. Got too lazy to keep changing it. Honestly, I've never noticed a difference as the phone has more than enough power for most apps and games.

Anyone else care to weigh in?

Cheers!?

I agree. GPU Boost is not needed as such for OP5/T most of the times.

I'd love to try your kernel, but I never flashed one before. Do I need to uninstall the Magisk modules I use before I flash the kernel? I use stock OOS 9.0.11. Is there anything else I should do, or can I just flash this like any other ROM?

Alright, I made a backup of the boot partition, but the file that was created is boot.emmc.win and I don't see an .img file that I can flash in the TWRP backup folder. Any advise? I just want to be sure ?
Did you make a backup with encryption and hash check? Also, the TWRP backup restore function is where you have to reflash, not exactly via image flash option.

Of course I have to use the 'restore' function in TWRP! I'm so stupid, it's been way too long since I flashed stuff :silly:
I went ahead and flashed the kernel, but I get the error that my Android version is unsupported?

Edit: I guess I flashed a kernel for android 10, damn I'm such a noob...

Edit 2: I guess the latest kernel for android 9 Pie is the r193?

Reverted back to stock kernel (OOS 10) because flashing v208 results in booting into fastboot al the time. Anybody have a solution besides reflashing rom system?
