Just tried installing this over the 11/13 Pure Nexus release and bootlooped. Flashed chainfire's modified boot.img and it booted, but the led is on solid green while not plugged in. Any idea how to get this working properly?

I have been running this on Pure since yesterday no problems. Make sure to clear your kernel app data and init d folder, or reflash pure then kernel... Oh and it's running great, best battery life so far! Battery light is configured in pure settings/display

That's really odd. I just did a dirty flash of the 11/13 build (over a working 11/13 build to make sure the system / kernel are "Pure Nexus" stock.). Re-downloaded the blu_spark_r50 and made sure MD5 matched. I also removed Kernel Auditor and made sure the init.d folder was empty (except SuperSU).

Flashed the kernel and bootlooped once again.

Here is a logcat: http://pastebin.com/pywaLTjm

Are you running this on the 11/13 release of Pure? I still can't get it to boot without Chainfire's boot.img, which messes with Pure Nexus' battery percentage and LED control.

We just have to be patient. The kernel will be updated surely :) that will hopefully sort out issues like this and the false display of battery status.

I'm getting a huge amount of lag on a fresh install of MRA58R, systemless boot.img, SuperSU, and blu. This is seen if i have your governor enabled. Lag is most annoying in the keyboard. Can't even make 1/2 a sentence without input getting either backed up or missing pieces. Running interactive just fine. Had already cleared out kernel adiutor.

do we need permissive zip for flashing this kernel?Using pure nexus...
sorry for im just new at this things:confused:
Yes you need the permissive boot img. And if you flash on PN with the chainfire boot image, you'll have a solid green led light.

I'd suggest waiting until the OP updates the kernel

Eng.STK,

What would you say is better for battery.

2 cores online while two offline but they're frequency is constantly jumping to about 1.6ghz
or
all 4 cores online with their frequency divided at 400mhz.

I am a noob, so if possible could you explain to me why what option is better?

    DOWNLOAD KERNEL ZIP

Warning: If you come from other kernel, you should dirty flash your ROM before flashing blu_spark zip to avoid problems.
Reflash ROM -> flash SuperSU -> Boot device and install busybox -> flash blu_spark.
Also uninstall or clean data of any kernel control app you're using.

Root is now available in Marshmallow 6.0 in enforced mode thanks to chainfire.
In stock (or stock derived) ROMs follow the steps bellow. In pre rooted custom ROMs you should only need to flash blu_spark zip
    1. Just go to SuperSU thread and download the kernel zip http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/wip-android-6-0-marshmellow-t3219344
    2. Extract the boot.img (not a flashable zip)
    3. Go to recovery, flash boot.img, flash SuperSU v2.50+, flash blu_spark
    4. Profit

    All right crew!

New build is up, latest M3 stuff merged, some cleanup, etc.
Seems like Google merged some power patches to deal with bug on battery measurement Solid on M, 5.1.1 needs testing.
EDIT: just pushed r26 quickfix, seems like even with newest Smart Battery and Aging Detection commits, the gauge meter is still derped on M3 source.

    Wicked!
