Been noticing this too.
But it only happens when device falls into deep sleep (?) for me.
Example:

I woke this morning and device been sleep overnight the fingerprint wasn't recognized
When I took a shower and came back the fingerprint wasn't recognized.

However when I unlock it and use the phone for a minute or so the fingerprint starts to work fine again.
Actually yes you're probably right. If I do get a successful unlock and then lock / unlock quickly it's much more reliable. Set the phone down for a couple of minutes and the problem comes back

Edit: just tried it over and over and it's quite inconsistent whether it's been in deep sleep or not

Thanks man. Device is running great on this kernel but I've noticed since I flashed it this morning that the fingerprint reader is really flakey, has anyone else noticed this? I've reregistered a few times but I find I have to try 5-6 times to unlock whereas before it worked first time every time.
I have the same problem. It's also with kirisakura kernel.
Only flars kernel doesn't have this behavior so far.

Thanks for providing the kernel too us anyways.

Yeah some people over at 7T also have this behavior.
I'm not entirely convinced this is not a thing of previous OTAs.
I have a clean flashed OOS 10.0.3 with PIN, FPR works flawlessly like my other devices.
Would be useful if someone could format the device and test it out since I can't reproduce it.

I've managed to convince myself tonight over a couple of gins to order the McLaren edition and return the regular 7t Pro so will give it a shot from stock tomorrow night on the new phone and report back

You will love it, it looks and feels stunning! I have no regrets whatsoever with not choosing the iPhone 11 Pro...

I sold my S10+ and got the 7t pro to replace it recently and I'd say it's much better for my use, always hated that notch! And I've been kicking myself over not getting the McLaren one for a couple of weeks, I know it's essentially identical bar some extra and kind of unneeded ram but I love the look of it

Drivers from the graphic stack have been trimmed on cruft, debug, logging, etc to make it a bit more efficient. Also some patches to improve interactiveness. GPU boost is also available to tune it up if you game alot.
Full compatibility with anything same as stock.

I will not touch anything audio related, sorry.

Ah ok, thank you very much - sounds good !

"- If you use root, Magisk 20.1 or newer is mandatory"

Is 20.1 really needed or will 20.0 be good, too ? Just asking because I once had lots of trouble after updating magisk (even though it was considered stable ...)

regards

I only recommend using latest stable. Actually 20.0 had some issues with OnePlus devices like the op6 for instance.
while 20.0 should work, I don't recommend it.

Just reporting back. Got a fresh Op7t Pro McLaren, updated to 10.0.3.HD01BA then rooted. Flashed this Kernel in EXKM and I've not had an issue with FPR since. I know you're OP says flash from stock kernel but you know what we're like (plus it's a pain without TWRP)

I did the same without issue. Mclaren, too.
What I noticed the FPR is only inaccurate when my skin is very dry.

Not for me, unlock with pin (due to it not recognising fingerprint) then lock and try to unlock and it fails over and over again, have flashed back to flar and don't experience the issue.

Not sure of the interaction between the kernel and the fingerprint sensor but the kernel is the only variable for me, stock (although with magisk) OOS.

The only way to sort this out is to dirty flash the firmware and install the kernel again. It's a pain without TWRP but it fixed the issue for me

Maybe, I'll hold off until a working TWRP has been release for 7T Pro, everything's working at the moment with flar, maybe if I feel like a clean flash I'll start with blu_spark.

All right crew!

First build for the 7T/Pro is up :highfive:
This kernel is unified, good to go on OP7/T/Pro (I only can test on Pro).

blu_spark_r60 release

Keep in mind: I will give no active support for custom ROMs (including OOS based ones).
I am only interested on debugging stuff in stock and stable OOS (with logs and reproducible steps to replicate the issue).
Don't spam this thread with LOS or other ROMs stuff like "this don't work, my app doesn't open, etc" or debugging features.
Also don't go spam and bug reporting on ROM threads if using this.

No mirrors please
If you like my work, donations are always welcome.
Don't forget to hit thanks and rate the thread nicely, it's free :)

thanks for working.but i can't flash twrp,how do i flash it?

OOS is always for OOS based ROMs.
Custom is for AOSP/CAF ROMs.

Thanks for testing. It may be small changes then.
What ROM does the device run? May be just a case of binaries/kernel mismatch.
If is something done on purpose because of SKU difference, coded on dtb and or even worse in drivers, may be more hard to address.
In the past we had checks we could fake SKU to have the themes and stuff available, I'll take look.
Today I manage to flash your kernel again, before direct update of Magisk and reboot.

Seems like all is working fine, I can include logs in case you want to take a look. There seems to be a lot of red E's in Logcat Extreme. Is this the stock OOS ROM itself?

Hi,
Thank you for this kernel.
Phone is rebooting when Wireguard tunnel starts, so bad...
Could you check ?
I'm on OnePlus 7T 10.0.6 and tunnel works well without this kernel.
