do you need to make changes after flashing with FKM or are all the settings already configured, apologies if it has been answered before. Flashing was super easy even though doing it for the first time (y)

How can i flash the Kernel ZiP? I'm on Havoc A11, and TWRP wont boot!?
I see FKM is possible. But als when i com from original Havoc Kernel? How can i flash Magisk without TWRP?
AFK works as well there are others. you posted this same question in the twrp forum as well. U can backup kernels and even flash kernels with it.

blu_spark_r90 release

New build is up (y)

This kernel is tested for the 8 Pro and 8T variants which I have, regular OP8 in OOS 11 is said to be working fine by some users.
You can use FKM download kernel feature, just import the links bellow in the app.
FKM download configs: oos | custom

Changelog:
  • Build with Google Clang 12.0.3 + LLD linker
  • "f2fs: Fix deadlock between f2fs_quota_sync and block_operation"
  • Revert "kbuild: disable clang's default use of -fmerge-all-constants"
  • bq27541: Return -ENODATA when DASH charging
  • cnss2: Load China BDF files for PJ_ID=14+HW_ID=21|22 combo
  • qseecom: Add boundary checks between two subsequent fields
  • arm64: fix bootloader_memory_limit
  • Revert "drivers: msm: Don't copy fence names by default"
  • AnyKernel3 sync

Keep in mind: I will give no active support for custom ROMs (including OOS based ones).
I am mostly interested on debugging stuff in stock stable OOS (with logs and reproducible steps to replicate the issue).

Someone can probably answer this but I can't find it anywhere, what's the differences using the config file and going without it?

    Edit:
Nvm, I did a big nono and just went with it without knowing what I was doing, found out it turns FKM into an OTA updater for the kernel. Lesson learned, didn't backfire.

    Edit 2:

@eng.stk another great product. I noticed the performance isn't great on 3DMark..
Unsure if I dod something wrong. I noticed You're nor using the blu_active governor (or it's not named that in FKM dor some reason). There a story behind that, or am I missing something
Yeah, I don't really do anything to get numbers in benchmarks.
I prefer work around UX, stuff that people notice in their daily usage like smoothness, building improvements to bring more efficiency, etc.
This is not a HMP device to use interactive and/or other tweaked variants. Schedutil, EAS and the likes are totally different beasts and I work around those ofc :)
    3
The new build is so smooth and fast, that's amazing! Thanks @eng.stk
*I'm still checking the battery but it looks good though, hats off.
EDIT: Battery life isn't as good as older builds, it's kinda poor but the overall kernel experience is smooth and fluid.
    3
    So, can we use that?
sm8250 source is a mess. And that one is broken on top of that.
What I would like is the stuff that actually shipped on the 8 seriesd devices last few months.
    2
it doesn't seem to consume more battery even with high frequencies, everything goes smoothly. with the stock kernel, the most I managed to get 4.5h SOT. There is a big difference, almost double the autonomy. I haven't had any problems so far. Thanks for your work.

    DOWNLOAD KERNEL ZIP
FKM download configs: oos | custom
    (No mirrors please)

Setup and troubleshoot: To install just flash the zip on a stock setup with either TWRP or autoflash kernel app.
If you come from other kernel or have any issues, you should restore your stock boot.img or dirty flash your ROM before flashing blu_spark zip to avoid problems. Also uninstall or clean data of any kernel control app you're using.
If you are upgrading between blu_spark versions, just flash the kernel zip.

About bugs and reports: don't bother to post if a log isn't ready or without steps so the behavior can be replicated. I only active support stock OOS ROM with NO mods whatsoever (apart from root). That includes NO support if using xposed, Magisk with added modules, etc.
If you're using custom ROMs (including stock based ones) and OOS Open Betas you're much on your own. I'm mostly interested on debugging stuff in stock and stable OOS.
Also try not to spam the thread with OT. There's threads for all kind of stuff, use them.

Going back to stock: This kernel installer doesn't change your filesystem. You can backup your boot.img with TWRP or kernel app before flashing blu_spark if you want to go back to full stock or just dirty flash your full ROM.

    blu_spark r12 release

    All right crew!

It's that time again, 1st build is up :highfive:

This kernel source is unified for OP8/Pro, don't know how it will run in the regular model (can only test in the Pro). Let me know.
At the moment we're maybe at 80% of the usual goodies, get a nice and stable base and go from there.
I'm building with clang currently got some hiccups with gcc. I'll probably revisit this in the future but it will need more TLC.
You can now use FKM download kernel feature, just import the links bellow in the app :highfive:

    blu_spark_r12release
FKM download configs: oos | custom
    • Build with latest Google Clang version 11.0.2 (Android 11) - blu_gcc may come in the future, needs som TLC
    • Synchronize codes for OnePlus 8 Oxygen OS 10.5.9.IN21AA and OnePlus 8 Pro Oxygen OS 10.5.10.IN11AA
    • Build errors and warnings fixes
    • Compiling improving and target optimizations
    • Goodies: IO and filesystem stuff, priorities and UX, touchboost, zram, wakelock blocker, haptic and gestures level, adrenoboost, etc
    • wireguard updates (v1.0.20200611)
    • init adjust for sdm8250
    • AnyKernel3 latest updates
    • For root, stable Magisk 20.4 or newer is mandatory
