Here's a new version for Android 11. Make a backup, get a stock boot image before you start the process. If you have your magisk_patched.img around that can help you revert back easier.

2.3.0_a1 for OnePlus 8
Specifically built for the OP8 non-pro
All cleanslate features merged in

Installer zip: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=10763459528675566680
boot image version glo 11.0.5: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=10763459528675566681

Please report back if you try. Thanks!
@ireyes hey, could you please have a try with the above release. I've added the changes used on Android 10 and op8 non pro. And since last week, on op8pro all issues with booting were resolved. Hopefully this will boot fine on the op8

Hey @tbalden, thank you for your hard work and awesome kernel. After updating my OP8 to Android 11, I am unable to flash your kernel - which worked fine before. I downloaded both of your latest files (cleanslate_op8_230.zip and the glo_11_0_30 image) and tried various things:

1.) I "fastboot boot"ed the glo image. That worked very well but I didn't have root and couldn't test for features. So I
2.) manually patched the glo image with the MagiskManager and hotbooted that. Viola: At least I had root - but didn't seem to have your kernel.

Question 1: Is your kernel included in the image or is it a stock image, meant to help with booting up the system in case something goes wrong?

3.) Then I tried to flash the installer zip with Franco Kernel Manager (Manual flash) but that only says "Setting up flashing environment" and stays there. In the notification it says "flash successful" but after a reboot there still doesn't seem to be your kernel.

Any idea what I could do? I have stock recovery installed and would like to keep it that way.

Again a big THANK YOU!

1, you don't need root to use cleanslate features, you can enable all of them using the configuration app and companion app. The image is there for easy installation for those who plan to avoid using magisk for any reason
2., Patching the image and then copy it to pc then flash it should work tho
3, exkm is the only one currently working on Android 11 to flash kernel zips

Thanks for reporting back on status, very happy to read that it works now on Android 11 :) [emoji106][emoji106]

Since I had been able to flash a different kernel on my OP8P with FrancoKM on Android 11 (but only after I importet the json link), I didn't think the kernel manager would make the difference.
However - I am mostly interested in Magisk and the Wireguard tunnel so I flashed the boot image you provided which I had patched with MagiskManager via "fastboot flash boot ....img". It works like a charm. I haven't done heavy testing but until now the system runs fine! Thanks again!

Thanks for the feedback. Going to check on this, maybe it's my old scripts in the zip

Verizon one plus 8 . Can I successfully run this rom on my device? ..unlocked bootloader. Is it aosp?
It's not a rom, it's a Kernel. It's only replacing the so called boot image of the phone, leaves the rom intact.

Unfortunately I'm not sure about Verizon. Do you know if that uses a separate firmware?

If you already have root with magisk, you can try using the installer zip.. But using the boot image I provided I can't recommend without knowing if Verizon has a special boot image.

You should have a stock boot image for Verizon, to have a backup that can help you restore.

I'm already on global android 10 latest version. Not a verizon stock. If that matters

- Update 2.5.0-
Unlock Hider + SafetyNet pass update
- This release is specifically for those who plan to NOT use Magisk, and still pass SafetyNet checks
--- providing a new 2.5.0 boot image based on Global ROM 11.0.1, with latest CleanSlate
--- Using the boot image only, SafetyNet now passes
--- To flash, fastboot flash method needs to be used, read original post. If flashed the img, will remove magisk/superuser
--- After that uninstall Magisk Manager, to make sure, banking apps, SafetyNet detection will not find the app.

- Tested on Op8T with the help of @theincognito and @RayInkube

CleanSlate 2.5.0 Download:
Boot img 2.5.0 (global 11 image, non-magisk): https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=10763459528675571429
No installer zip for this version here. I'll provide the zip in the original post, but since this update only concerns users who plan to not use magisk, here only adding the boot.img
Read original post for boot.img based installation process.

Could someone check whether wifi still works with this new 2.5.1/ ttl patched?
Thanks
Hey bud. Glad to see your still cranking out the updates. I saw your post a while back, just been so freaking busy with work. I can test this latest build. I'll flash here momentarily.

Wifi working perfect. I'll run this for a bit and put it through the ringer and let you know if anything comes up. Thanks for your continued efforts!!

Expected impact to battery life? Gains I assume but any more specifics?
There's no magic bullet or strong optimization holding back performance by default on this kernel.
Each usage pattern can have different results.
If you are a casual user with less to no gaming then trying the dynamic eas boost can help you to gain a few percents overall.
If using lots of video conference or map apps, battery saver option can spare some few percents of battery while using those apps that are notorious to peak cpu freqs in many cases unnecessarily.
For gaming you can use also battery saver for very heavy games to try and cut back heat and throttling.

So it's a many faced topic.. If someone tells you exact numbers, either he's a miracle engineer measuring like very few in the world, or they just throw around numbers and mix in habits that doesn't necessarily depend on kernel this or kernel that. Too much placebo in this topic around xda threads in not so few cases..

Try and see is the only way. :)
